Internet Desk: Parental Responsibility. Are you admitted to a good school? It should not be the case that we were educated after paying a fee of Rs. lakhs. Children should be supervised at all times. Understand their feelings and thoughts and stand by them. Experts say that asking a few questions often helps parents bond with their children and eases any fears. And what to ask them..

How was your day?

In the morning, adults rush to work and children go to school. When you get home in the evening, take some time off and ask the children, 'How was your day?' All the events that happened that day will be told. In this order, their way of thinking, surroundings and situations will be understood. It is also a good way to spend time with children.

Do you have any problems?

At what age do those problems persist? In childhood, the teacher beats, quarrels with friends, sexual abuse happens in school. You should know if you are facing such problems. If there is a problem in the school, you can go and talk to the school management. If there are problems at home, adults should take the initiative and solve them. It is better to detect any problem before it becomes serious.

Who do you share your preferences with?

Children may have many friends at school. But, they are very close to each other. They share their likes, opinions, thoughts and difficulties with them. Ask who are such friends. In some cases children are unable to tell their parents about any problems. Then there is a chance to ask that friend to know the matter.

When do you feel scared?

Knowing about fear in children is important. They are afraid of being beaten up by teachers or harassed by hooligans on the way. They worry about studies and exams. Ask them what they are afraid of. It should be seen that passion for education should be developed by telling how much one can rise to a higher level if one studies. If you are harassed by hooligans, you can approach the police. You can tell the teachers to speak softly.

How is your health?

Children are not very health conscious. During this period children often get sick. Life threatening situations are occurring. But, even if they have problems in the body, they cannot say that this is the problem. So, how is your stomach? Are there any difficulties? Ask that. Any minor problem should not be ignored and doctors should be consulted and given appropriate treatment.

What do we (parents) think of us?

As children grow older, perceptions of parents change. That opinion should be known. They may have behaved harshly with the intention of disciplining the children. May not allocate time. Their desires may not be fulfilled. There is a possibility that the children will feel antipathy towards the parents. If they feel anything like that, they should change that method. Our parents should be the best.

What do they want to be in the future?

Children want to be like that when they grow up.. They dream to be like this. That is a good thing. But, you have to ask what is really their interest. Inquire about future goals and interests. Parents should help the children in the things they are interested in. Along with education, they should be shown various career paths. They should be encouraged to excel in sports as well.
