Stock market: Stock market indices ended flat

Stock market | Mumbai: Domestic stock market indices ended flat. Indices remained in the moderate range due to mixed signals from international markets and lack of domestic drivers. PSU Bank, metal and auto shares saw buying support, while IT, FMCG, realty and pharma shares faced selling pressure.
Sensex opened the morning at 84,600.99 points (previous close 84,695.54) with slight losses. It moved between 84,470.94- 84,806.99 intraday. Finally settled at 84,675.08 with a loss of 20.46 points. The Nifty also closed at 25,938.85 with a loss of 3.25 points. The rupee is at 89.84 against the dollar. Shares of Eternal, Indigo, Infosys, Asian Paints and Ultratech Cement were major losers in the Sensex 30 index. Shares of Tata Steel, Mahindra and Mahindra, Bajaj Finserv, Axis Bank and SBI gained.
