Amaravati: The AP government has released the final notification on the formation of new districts in the state. Orders have been issued establishing Polavaram district as the center of Rampachodavaram and Markapuram district as the center of Markapuram. A notification has been issued to shift the district headquarters of Annamaiya from Rayachoti to Madanapalle. In addition to these, 5 new revenue divisions have been formed in the state. A final notification has been issued changing the boundaries of revenue divisions and mandals. The final orders have been issued to implement the formation of new districts from tomorrow. The total number of districts in the state has increased from the existing 26 to 28.
