Hyderabad: Hydra (Hydra) officials check for encroachment of Durgam pond in the city. put Hydra crews on Tuesday removed encroachments from around 5 acres of Durgam pond near Inorbit Mall in Madapur. They filled the pond with soil and used it for paid parking of vehicles and collected rents up to Rs.50 lakh every month. Encroachments in FTL and buffer zone were removed. The vehicles there have been evacuated and fencing has been put up for now. Officials said that the soil will be removed later. Hydra Commissioner AV Ranganath responded to the complaint in the media about the encroachments.

This pond, which was once 160 acres in the IT corridor, now remains 116 acres. Except the northern direction of the pond.. it has been encroached on all three sides. The satellite images provided by NRSC are eye-opening as to how the occupation period went.
