Today, Hyderabad: In the panchayat elections, the rural voters favored Congress supporters more than in the previous assembly elections. Elections were held for panchayats under 94 legislative constituencies. In 84 places, the party got a clear lead. Including the rebels, the number is 87. An additional 20 legislative seats ahead of the assembly elections held two years ago. In the constituencies represented by ministers including Kodangal and Madhira represented by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, 70-80 percent panchayats went to the Congress. In many places, those who contested as Congress rebel candidates and won are trying to rejoin the party.

Already joined many places. While the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi won in nine constituencies, this lead was limited to six seats as the rebels and independents joined the Congress. BJP is ahead in only one seat.

Except joint Medak district

If we consider the joint ten districts of the state, except Medak district, Bharat Rashtra Samithi did not get the lead. After redistricting, the two districts have more assembly constituencies.

  • Except for Hyderabad, if we look at the constituencies wise in the combined districts, the Congress got complete lead in Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Rangareddy and Nizamabad districts. There are fifty assembly seats in these districts. Former ministers Prashanth Reddy, Jagadish Reddy and Sabita Indra Reddy are MLAs.
  • Except for two urban constituencies in Ummadi Warangal district, in ten rural seats, except for Janagama, which is represented by Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, the Congress is in control. In Kaushik Reddy's constituency, Bharat Rashtra Samithi, Congress and BJP shared panchayats in Huzurabad, but Bharat Rashtra Samithi got a slight lead. Congress is leading in Korutla and other constituencies where Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLAs are also present in this district.
  • Bharat Rashtra Samithi won in Sirpur in joint Adilabad district. Even though the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi got the upper hand in the number of seats contested and won in Both, the Congress claimed that they got the upper hand with the rebels who won in large numbers.

We lead in Gajwel: Congress

Bharat Rashtra Samithi has shown influence in four seats in the joint Medak. Harish Rao represented Siddipet, Kota Prabhakar Reddy Dubbaka, Bharat Rashtra Samithi showed complete lead. Congress has given a tough contest in Gajwel, which is represented by former CM KCR. The Congress announced that they got the upper hand in Gajwel as well as the rebels came back into the party. The situation is similar in Narsapur, which is represented by Sunita Lakshmareddy.

  • In Siddipet, Dubbaka, Sirisilla, Huzurabad, Janagama, Sirpur independents and rebels have joined the Congress but Bharat Rashtra Samithi is the majority. If there is nothing to do with rebels and independents, Bharat Rashtra Samithi is leading in Gajwel, Narsapur and Both. But in these constituencies, with the inclusion of rebels and independents, the Congress gained the lead.
  • Bharat Rashtra Samithi tried to be competitive in Jadcharla and Asifabad constituencies.

BJP leads in one assembly seat

BJP won seven seats in the last assembly elections. In the subsequent Lok Sabha elections, it won eight seats and got a majority in more legislative constituencies than in the assembly elections. However, in the elections of local bodies, the results are not as good as this. Only one Muthole is ahead. As Nizamabad is an urban municipality, the BJP MLA who won here has nothing to do with the panchayat elections. Except for Raja Singh who won from Goshamahal in Hyderabad, the remaining five constituencies are partly rural in Adilabad. Here, Congress and BJP won the Sarpanchi seats, while Bharat Rashtra Samithi was limited to the third position. However, the Congress claimed that most of those who contested as independent candidates joined the Congress and their number of seats reached 56, while the second-placed BJP got 38 and Bharat Rashtra Samithi 22. In the panchayats under Muthol, however, the BJP got a complete lead. BJP legislative party leader Eleti Maheshwar Reddy's constituency was limited to the second position in Nirmal, while Bharat Rashtra Samithi was in the third position and got nominal seats. Congress got more seats than BJP in Armoru, Kamareddy and Sirpur constituencies. Bharat Rashtra Samithi got first position in Sirpur. The impact was felt here when former MLA Koneru Konappa rejoined the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi a few years ago.

The party sources are of the opinion that the results of this panchayat election, which came after two years of the formation of the Congress government in the state, will fill the party with more vigor. Elections were held for 12,702 gram panchayat seats. The Congress won 7,527 seats, and the number reached 8,335 with the 808 won by the rebels, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced in a press conference on Thursday. According to this, 66 percent seats have come to Congress. Bharat Rashtra Samithi got 3,511 panchayats, which is 27.64 percent, BJP got 710 panchayats, which is 5.59 percent, and others got 146. The details of how many Sarpanchi seats have been won by which party's supporters in the 94 assembly seats in rural areas have been revealed. href="https://www.facebook.com/eenaduonline/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook, Twitter, Instagram& Google News.
