రెండేళ్ల కాంగ్రెస్ పాలనలో 750 మందికి పైగా రైతులు మరణించినా సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డికి కనీసం చీమ కుట్టినట్టు కూడా లేదని బీఆర్ఎస్ కార్యనిర్వాహక అధ్యక్షుడు కేటీఆర్ విమర్శించారు. బుధవారం ఆయన ఎక్స్ వేదికగా స్పందించారు. పంట కొనే దిక్కులేక కొనుగోలు కేంద్రం వద్దే జమ్మన్న అనే రైతు గుండెపోటుతో కుప్పకూలి మరణించడం అత్యంత బాధాకరమని పేర్కొన్నారు. గద్వాల జిల్లా మానవపాడు మండలంలోని కలుకుంట్ల మొక్కజొన్న కేంద్రం వద్ద జరిగిన ఈ ఘటనకు పూర్తి బాధ్యత ముఖ్యమంత్రిదే అని చెప్పారు.
నాలుగు రోజులుగా పడిగాపులు పడుతున్నా కూడా మొక్కజొన్న పంట కొనకుండా కాంగ్రెస్ సర్కారు (Congress Govt) అన్నదాత నిండు ప్రాణాన్ని బలితీసుకుందన్నారు. ఓ వైపు పెట్టుబడి సాయం అందక అప్పుల పాలై రైతులు ఆత్మహత్యలు చేసుకుంటున్నారని, మరోవైపు భారీ వర్షాలతో పంట నష్టపోయినా కూడా కనీసం పరిహారం అందక కౌలు రైతులు సైతం బలవన్మరణాలకు పాల్పడుతున్నారని చెప్పారు. ఇంకోవైపు పనికిరాని యాప్లతో యూరియా అందక అన్నదాతలు మళ్లీ ఈ సీజన్లోనూ అష్టకష్టాలు పడుతున్నారన్నారు.
