Yonex Sunrise National Women's and Men's Shuttle Badminton competitions are going on fiercely. On the second day, Tuesday, the finals in the team championship category created excitement. In the men's category, Tamil Nadu and Haryana and in the women's category, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh played a thrilling match. The best of five competitions in both categories were impressive. Six zones across the country were represented in the team championship division competitions. Quarters and semi-finals were held on Monday. Tamil Nadu and Haryana won the men's semis and Haryana and Andhra Pradesh won the women's section and reached the finals. Three singles and two doubles competitions were held in the finals which started from Tuesday afternoon. Three winning teams from these five games clinched the title.

Men's winner Tamil Nadu, runner Haryana

Tamil Nadu beat Haryana 3-2 in the finals best-of-five match to claim the Neggi Winner's Trophy. The fight between these two teams created excitement. Tamil Nadu won the first singles and second singles and took a 2-0 lead. But in the first doubles after that, Haryana bounced back exceptionally and reduced the score to 2-1. Even in the third singles, Haryana Neggi tied the score at 2-2 and thwarted Tamil Nadu's attack. Due to this, both the teams sweated in the last doubles. In the end, Tamil Nadu won 2-3 against Haryana and became the champion. Haryana team received the runner trophy.

Women's winner Haryana, runner Andhra Pradesh

Haryana won the women's team championship title easily. The Andhra Pradesh team could not give Haryana a tough competition in the finals. With this, Haryana won the first singles and the second singles respectively. In the third singles as well, Haryana showed superiority in the first set. AP team gave some competition only in the second set. But finally Haryana won this set too. Finally, the Haryana team won the title with a 3-0 margin over their rival AP. AP team became the runner.

More national competitions should be organized: Collector Lakshmisha

NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha believes that more national and international competitions should be organized in Vijayawada, which is famous as the sports capital. He awarded trophies, cash prizes and medals to the winners of these competitions. The men's and women's teams were awarded a cash prize of Rs.3.50 lakh each, winner and runner trophies and medals. Similarly, the teams of Maharashtra and Uttarakhand, who came third in the men's category, and Assam and Gujarat, who came third in the women's category, were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, bronze medals and medals. On this occasion, the collector said that the state government is taking many steps for the development of sports. AP Badminton Association President Dwarkanath and Secretary P. Ankamma Choudhary participated in the event.

Individual Division Competitions from Today

National Senior Women and Men Shuttle Badminton Competitions will be held at the stadium from Wednesday, the executive secretary of the competition P. Ankamma Choudhary announced. Along with teams from 33 states, teams from Indian Railways, Indian Petroleum Corporation, LIC, Food Corporation of India (FCI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Comptroller of Audit General (CAG) will be represented in this competition, he said. It has been explained that 500 athletes who have excelled in national and international level sports competitions are participating in these competitions.
