ఇబ్రహీంపట్నం సబ్ రిజిసా్ట్రర్ కార్యాలయంలో అవినీతి ఆరోపణల నేపథ్యంలో ఏసీబీ అధికారులు మంగళవారం దాడులు నిర్వహించారు. ఇన్చార్జి సబ్ రిజిసా్ట్రర్ షేక్ మహమ్మద్కు చెందిన భవానీపురం టెలిఫోన్ కాలనీలోని ఇంట్లో, జూనియర్ అసిస్టెంట్ డి.పద్మకు చెందిన కొండపల్లిలోని నివాసంలో ఏకకాలంలో సోదాలు చేశారు. ఉదయం ప్రారంభమైన ఈ సోదాలు రాత్రి పొద్దుపోయే వరకు కొనసాగాయి. కొన్ని కీలక పత్రాలను కూడా స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. అధికారులు సబ్ రిజిస్ర్టార్ ఇంటిలోకి ప్రవేశించిన తర్వాత మహమ్మద్ కుటుంబ సభ్యుల ఫోన్లను స్వాధీనం చేసుకుని బయటకు వెళ్లనీయకుండా నియంత్రించారు. పెద్ద మొత్తంలో అవినీతి జరిగినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. అయితే అధికారులు వివరాలు వెల్లడించలేదు. ఈ ఏడాది నవంబరు 5న ఏసీబీ అధికారులు ఇబ్రహీంపట్నం సబ్ రిజిసా్ట్రర్ కార్యాలయంలో రెండు రోజుల పాటు విస్తృత సోదాలు చేసి మొదటి రోజు ఎలాంటి లెక్కలు లేని రూ.74 వేలను సీజ్ చేశారు. దాడుల్లో ఆ నగదు ఇన్చార్జి సబ్ రిజిసా్ట్రర్ మహమ్మద్ సమీపంలోనే లభించినా అతనిపై ఎలాంటి చర్యలు తీసుకోకుండా అతడ్నే ఇన్చార్జి సబ్ రిజిసా్ట్రర్గా కొనసాగించారు. ఇప్పుడు ఆయన నివాసంపై ఏసీబీ అధికారులు దాడులు చేశారు. అందుకే ఆయనను ఇన్నాళ్లు కొనసాగించి ఉంటారనే వాదన ఉంది.

ACB officers conducted raids on Tuesday in the wake of allegations of corruption in Ibrahimpatnam Sub-Registrar office. The house in Bhavanipuram Telephone Colony belonging to Incharge Sub-Registrar Sheikh Mohammed and the residence of Junior Assistant D. Padma in Kondapalli were searched simultaneously. These searches started in the morning and continued till nightfall. Some important documents were also seized. After the officials entered the sub-registrar's house, they seized the phones of the Mohammed family members and prevented them from leaving. There seems to be a large amount of corruption. However, the authorities did not disclose the details. On November 5 this year, ACB officials conducted extensive searches at the Ibrahimpatnam sub-registrar's office for two days and seized Rs. 74,000, which was unaccounted for on the first day. In the raids, the cash was found near the in-charge sub-registrar Mohammed, but without taking any action against him, he continued as the in-charge sub-registrar. Now ACB officials raided his residence. That is why there is an argument that he would have been retained for years.
