A scholar, a poet who still resonates in people's minds; Self-disciplined, self-sacrificing; A statesman respected across parties; A rare politician who valued morality over power; A patriot; Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a visionary leader who laid the foundations of modern Indian architecture. His birth centenary reminded the nation of a truth. Leaders may pass away with time, but their ideals remain forever. Even today, Vajpayee's ideals continue to inspire every Indian, especially politicians, in building a new India.

In 1984, Vajpayee said at the BJP's inaugural meeting at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, "Andhera Chatega, Suraj Niklega, Kamal Khilega" (Darkness will disappear, the sun will rise, the lotus will bloom). At that time BJP had only two Lok Sabha seats. However, without losing his faith, he planted that faith in the hearts of the activists. From Jan Sangh to BJP, he won 10 times as a member of Lok Sabha and twice as a member of Rajya Sabha. Vajpayee was the leader who stood against the Congress dictatorship during the Emergency.

He took charge as the first Prime Minister from the BJP and led a successful coalition government by including allies of different ideologies. Even if the government falls by a single vote, he is a leader who does not compromise on moral values. During the Kargil incursion in 1999, Vajpayee did not back down despite being the interim Prime Minister. Indian Army won through Operation Vijay. Amid heavy international pressure, Pokhran nuclear tests were conducted and India gained strategic autonomy. Modi took this idea forward more boldly. Surgical strikes, Balakot attacks and Operation Sindoor are proofs of this. Today India has turned from an importer to an exporter in the defense sector.

Modi further expanded reforms like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Golden Quadrilateral – Construction of National Highways, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana – Construction of Rural Roads, Telecom Reforms, Kisan Credit Cards. Today India has the second largest road network in the world with 67 lakh kilometers of roads. Mobile data is available in our country at the cheapest price in the world. BJP Andhra Pradesh State President P.V.N. Madhav and Vajpayee started a 14-day long 'Atal-Modi Suparipalana Yatra' this month with a determination to take the ideologies of Vajpayee further to the masses. This special bus trip traveled across Andhra Pradesh and held Vajpayee statue unveilings, meetings and meetings with alliance leaders in each district. Through this trip, Vajpayee's services in the construction of modern India were explained to the people, and how Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking the country forward with that spirit. Janasena chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan supported the programme. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav started the yatra from Dharmavaram. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Madanapalli participated in the program. State Ministers Nara Lokesh, Satyakumar, Union Minister Srinivasvarma and many NDA representatives participated. The yatra will be concluded at Amaravati on December 25 Vajpayee's birthday.
