Tata Motors | InternetDesk: Leading carmaker Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has achieved a rare milestone. Tata's Nexon.ev became the first electric car to achieve one lakh sales. The company has sold a total of 2.50 lakh electric cars so far. Thus, Tata Motors continues to dominate its top position in electric cars. It topped the list with two-thirds share (66 percent) of electric car sales in the country.
Tata Motors currently sells the Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curve EV and Harrier EV. Selling the XPRES-T EV in the fleet segment. Among these, Nexon.EV is soaring in sales. It is noteworthy that 4 out of every 10 cars sold by Tata are of the Nexon.EV model. Tata Motors announced on this occasion that it will bring five new electric models in the next five years. As a part of this, Rs.16-18 thousand crores will be invested by 2029-30.

Apart from new products, Tata Motors has said that this amount will be used to set up 10 lakh charging points across the country. Shailesh Chandra, MD and CEO of the company revealed that Ciara.EV and new Punch.EV will be launched next year. It is said that Avinya, a premium model, will also be brought by 2030. He said that their main intention is to make EVs available to all communities. They explained that their target is to have 45-50 percent market share in this competitive market.
