అమలాపురం టౌన్, డిసెంబరు 22 (ఆంధ్ర జ్యోతి):చెడు వ్యసనాలకు బానిసై నిత్యం డబ్బుల కోసం తల్లిని వేధించే కుమారుడు అత్యవసరంగా రూ.500 కావాలని అడిగి మద్యం తాగి ఇంటికి చేరుకుని తరువాత ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్న సంఘటన డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేడ్కర్ కోనసీమ జిల్లా అమలాపురం మెట్ల కాలనీలో జరిగింది. వివరాల ప్రకారం... కలెక్టరేట్ ఎదురుగా ఉన్న మెట్ల కాలనీలో కొప్పన ఉమాదేవి బిడ్డ, తల్లిదండ్రులతో కలసి నివాసం ఉంటుంది. ఉమాదేవి కుమారుడు దీపక్రాజు(18) స్థానిక ప్రైవేటు కళాశాలలో డిగ్రీ మొదటి సంవత్సరం చదువుతున్నాడు. చెడు వ్యసనాలకు బానిసై నిత్యం తల్లిని డబ్బుల కోసం వేధిస్తుండేవాడు. కుటుంబ సభ్యులతో గొడవలకు దిగేవాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో ఆదివారం రాత్రి తల్లి ఉమాదేవికి ఫోన్ చేసి అత్యవసరంగా రూ.500 కావాలని అడిగాడు. వెంటనే తల్లి రూ.500 ఫోన్పే చేసింది. ఉమాదేవి తన సోదరుడు మృతిచెందడంతో కాకినాడలో ఉండిపోయింది. దీపక్రాజ్ మద్యం తాగి ఇంటికి చేరుకుని నాన్న ఎప్పుడో చనిపోయాడు. ఇప్పుడు నేను కూడా చనిపోతానని అమ్మమ్మ, తాతయ్యను బెదిరించాడు. రాత్రి 2 గంటల వరకు ఈ వ్యవహారం నడిచింది. పొద్దున్న మాట్లాడుకుందాం పడుకోమని తాతయ్య సర్దిచెప్పాడు. వారు నిద్రలోకి వెళ్లగానే దీపక్ ఉరి వేసుకుని ఆత్మహత్యకు పాల్పడ్డాడు. 3 గంటల సమయంలో లేచిన తాతయ్య మనుమడు ఫ్యానుకు వేలాడుతుండడం గమనించి చుట్టుపక్కల వారిని లేపాడు. అప్పటికే దీపక్ మృతిచెందాడు. సమాచారం తెలిసి పోలీసులు సోమవారం ఉదయం సంఘటనా స్థలానికి చేరుకున్నారు. ఎస్ఐ శ్రీనివాస్ కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టారు. మృతదేహాన్ని పోస్టుమార్టం నిమిత్తం అమలలాపురం ఏరియా ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించారు.

Umadevi stayed in Kakinada after the death of her brother. Deepakraj reached home drunk and father died sometime. Now he threatened my grandmother and grandfather that I will also die. This affair went on till 2 o'clock in the night. Grandfather said let's talk in the morning and go to bed. When they went to sleep, Deepak committed suicide by hanging himself. The grandfather woke up at 3 o'clock and saw his grandson hanging from the fan and woke up the people around him. Deepak is already dead. After getting the information, the police reached the spot on Monday morning. SI Srinivas registered a case and took up the investigation. The body was shifted to Amalalapuram Area Hospital for postmortem.
