ముంబై:కీలకమైన బ్రిహాన్ ముంబై మున్సిపల్ కార్పొరేషన్ (BMS) ఎన్నికల్లో కలిసికట్టుగా పోటీ చేసేందుకు శివసేన యూబీటీ (UBT), మహారాష్ట్ర నవనిర్మాణ్ సేన (MNS) మధ్య సోమవారంనాడు జరిగిన చర్చలు ఫలవంతమయ్యాయి. ఉద్ధవ్ ఠాక్రే నివాసమైన మాతోశ్రీలో రెండు పార్టీల నేతలు సుమారు రెండున్నర గంటల సేపు సమావేశమయ్యారు. మరాఠీ భాష మాట్లాడే ప్రజలు అధికంగా ఉన్న ప్రాంతాల్లో సీట్ల పంపకాలకు సంబంధించి తలెత్తిన విభేదాలను ఇరు పార్టీలు సామరస్యపూర్వకంగా పరిష్కరించుకున్నాయని, పొత్తులు, సీట్ల పంపకాలపై త్వరలోనే సంయుక్త ప్రకటన చేయనున్నాయని విశ్వసనీయ వర్గాలు తెలిపాయి.
మరాఠా ప్రజల ఆధిక్యత ఉన్న దాదర్, శివడి, వోర్లి, ములుంద్ ప్రాంతాల్లో సీట్ల పంపకాలపై ఇంతకుముందు రెండు పార్టీల మధ్య అభిప్రాయ భేదాలు తలెత్తాయి. అయితే దాదాపు అన్నిచోట్ల ఆమోదయోగ్యమైన రీతిలో తాజాగా పరిష్కారం కుదిరినట్టు చెబుతున్నారు.
మరోవైపు, శరద్ పవార్ సారథ్యంలోని నేషనలిస్ట్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ (NCP-SP)ని కూడా తమతో కలుపుకొని వెళ్లేందుకు శివసేన (యూబీటీ), ఎంఎన్ఎస్ చర్చలు జరుపుతున్నాయి. బీఎంసీతో సహా 29 మున్సిపల్ కార్పొరేషన్లలో 2026 జనవరి 15న ఎన్నికలు జరుగనుండగా, జనవరి 16న ఫలితాలు వెలువడతాయి.

Mumbai:Discussions between the Shiv Sena UBT (UBT) and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) to jointly contest the crucial Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMS) elections came to fruition on Monday. The leaders of the two parties met for about two and a half hours at Uddhav Thackeray's residence Matoshree. Reliable sources said that both the parties have amicably resolved the differences regarding seat distribution in Marathi-speaking areas and will soon make a joint statement on alliances and seat distribution.
Differences of opinion have arisen between the two parties over seat distribution in Dadar, Shivdi, Worli and Mulund areas where the Maratha population is dominant. However, it is said that a recent solution has been reached in an acceptable manner almost everywhere.
On the other hand, Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS are negotiating to include the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) with them. 2026 elections in 29 municipal corporations including BMC will be held on January 15 and results will be declared on January 16.
