ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు విజయవాడలోని ఏ ప్లేస్ కన్వెన్షన్లో జరిగిన సెమీ క్రిస్మస్ వేడుకల్లో పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్బంగా క్రైస్తవ సోదరులకు ఆయన శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలియజేశారు. వారితో కలిసి కేక్ కట్ చేశారు. అనంతరం ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ.. ‘క్రీస్తు బోధనలు.. ఆయన చూపిన బాట అందరికీ రక్షణగా ఉంటుందని నేను నమ్ముతాను. పాపులను సైతం క్షమించాలని బైబిల్ చెబుతుంది. నాలుగు సార్లు ముఖ్యమంత్రి అయ్యాను. ముఖ్యమంత్రి పదవి నాకు కొత్తకాదు. ఆర్థికంగా బాగా ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నాము. ఒక్కొక్క ఇటుక పేర్చుకుంటూ ముందుకు వెళుతున్నాము. ప్రభుత్వ పథకాలు అన్నీ ముందుకు తీసుకువెళుతున్నాము.
పాస్టర్లకు 5000 రూపాయలు గౌరవ వేతనం ఇస్తున్నాము. 60 కోట్ల రూపాయలు రిలీజ్ చేసి 24వ తేదీ సాయంత్రానికి మీ అకౌంట్లో వేస్తాము. క్రైస్తవ సోదరుల కోసం ఉపాధి హామీ పథకాలు పునఃప్రారంభం చేసాము. కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం ప్రతి మతాన్ని గౌరవిస్తుంది. సంవత్సరంన్నర కాలంలో పట్టాలు తప్పిన రైలును దారిలో పెడుతున్నాము’ అని అన్నారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో తూర్పు నియోజకవర్గం ఎమ్మెల్యే గద్దె రామ్మోహన్రావు, గుడివాడ ఎమ్మెల్యే రాము, గన్నవరం ఎమ్మెల్యే యార్లగడ్డ వెంకట్రావు, మంత్రులు ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, వివిధ చర్చల ఫాదర్స్ పాల్గొన్నారు.
