Son sold property in her name
Ongole RDO whose registration was canceled

Ongolu Collectorate: Kanna's mother was alive and died when her son sold the agricultural land to others with false certificates. Going into details.. Vippala Ramadevi (83) of Kommavaram village of Mundlamuru mandal of Prakasam district has two daughters and one son. He is staying in an old age home in Guntur as his family members do not care about his nutrition. She got 1.96 acres of agricultural land in survey no.155/1 in her native village in 1995 through her husband's registrar settlement. With this, the revenue officials registered in her name on Webland. After that, her son Venugopal Reddy colluded with the revenue officials with the intention of acquiring the land illegally and changed the said land in his name by creating a death certificate. Later he sold that land to a person named Somu Chinanagi Reddy in 2024. The victim Ramadevi recently complained to the Ongole RDO Lakshmiprasanna.

After issuing notices to both parties and conducting an investigation, the RDO issued an order to the Darshi sub-registrar to cancel the sale deed. In addition, RDO ordered to re-register Ramadevi's name in Webland. According to the order, the son has to pay Rs 15,000 to her every month for maintenance as per the Senior Citizen Act. RDO Lakshmiprasanna said that they will report to the collector for action against the tehsildar and VROs who were involved in the illegal sale of land and against the revenue officials who granted the certificate that Ramadevi died while she was still alive.
