Hyderabad: GHMC Divisions A hearing was held in the High Court on a petition challenging the redistribution. After hearing the arguments, the bench made it clear that it cannot interfere in this matter. It is known that the government has taken a decision to increase the number of divisions in GHMC from 150 to 300. Challenging this, a petition was filed in the High Court. Although the government says that the redistribution of wards was done on the basis of the report submitted by the Center for Good Governance in MHRD, the petitioner's lawyers argued that the report was not disclosed and sufficient time was not given for receiving objections. The lawyer for the government explained to the court on Wednesday that the delimitation notification was issued within the legal framework. The information has already been placed on the website and the 3,100 objections received so far are being addressed.
