A man from Shimla district has been suffering from health problems for some time. He recently went to IGMC hospital for treatment. I went to the hospital for an endoscopy. Staff advised to rest for a while. So I slept on the empty bed. Then the doctor who came there treated me disrespectfully. "He started attacking me for asking to speak politely," said the victim. The bystanders were stopping the doctor who was supposed to be treating him, but the patient who was lying on the bed was kicking the doctor with his leg. In this incident, the victim's nose was injured. The superintendent of the hospital revealed that he had lodged a police complaint against the doctor and an FIR had also been registered. The doctor said that the person had behaved rudely with him. But as this whole affair went viral on the net, the state health minister Dhani Ram Sandil took it seriously. The doctor condemned the behavior saying such behavior was unacceptable. He said that the incident will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken.
