జమ్ములోని సిద్రా ప్రాంతంలో జాతీయ దర్యాప్తు సంస్థ కార్యాలయం పక్కన చెత్త కుప్పలో అసాల్ట్, స్నైపర్ రైఫిళ్లలో వాడే టెలిస్కోప్ ఒక పిల్లాడికి దొరికింది. అది ఒక బొమ్మగా భావించి అతడు ఆడుకుంటున్నాడు. అయితే ఆ విషయం పోలీసుల దృష్టికి చేరడంతో.. ఆ అనుమానాస్పద వస్తువును స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. అది చైనా ( China)లో తయారైందని గుర్తించడంతో భద్రతా సిబ్బంది అప్రమత్తమయ్యారు (Chinese-Made Rifle Scope). పోలీసులు ఆ ప్రాంతంలో తనిఖీలు చేపట్టారు. అలాగే జమ్ము ప్రాంతంతో పాటు ప్రభుత్వ, సైనిక కార్యాలయాల వద్ద భద్రతను కట్టుదిట్టం చేశారు. ప్రజలు ఎలాంటి భయాందోళనకు లోనుకావొద్దని సూచించారు. ఈ ఘటనకు సంబంధించి 24 ఏళ్ల వ్యక్తిని అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు. ఈ ఏడాది ఏప్రిల్లో జరిగిన పహల్గాం ఉగ్రదాడిపై ఎన్ఐఏ ఛార్జిషీట్ దాఖలు చేసిన నేపథ్యంలోనే ఈ ఘటన వెలుగుచూసింది. ఈ సంస్థే ఇటీవల దిల్లీలో చోటుచేసుకున్న కారు బాంబు పేలుడుపై దర్యాప్తు చేస్తోంది.
