ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి, డిసెంబర్ 22:స్టేట్ బ్యాంక్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (ఎస్బీఐ) తన సామాజిక బాధ్యతలను ప్రతిబింబిస్తూ చదువులో మెరిట్ ఉన్న విద్యార్థులకు స్కాలర్షిప్లు ఇవ్వడం, గ్రామీణ యువతకు శిక్షణ ఇవ్వడం, వికలాంగులకు మద్దతు ఇవ్వడం, గ్రామాలను దత్తత తీసుకోవడం వంటి కార్యక్రమాల చేస్తుందని మీకు తెలుసా.. ఈ విధంగా ఎస్బీఐ దేశ నిర్మాణంలో తన పాత్రను నెరవేరుస్తోంది.
ఎస్బీఐ ప్రముఖ స్కాలర్షిప్ పథకం ఎస్బీఐ ప్లాటినం జూబిలీ ఆశా స్కాలర్షిప్ (SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship) లేదా ఎస్బీఐ ఆశా స్కాలర్షిప్ ప్రోగ్రాం. ఇది మెరిటోరియస్ (మెరిట్ ఉన్న) ఆర్థికంగా వెనుకబడిన విద్యార్థులకు అందించే పథకం. దీనిని ఎస్బీఐ ఫౌండేషన్ నిర్వహిస్తుంది.
దేశంలో ఆర్థికంగా బలహీన వర్గాల నుంచి వచ్చే మెరిట్ విద్యార్థులకు విద్యను కొనసాగించేందుకు దీనిని ఉద్దేశించారు. ప్రతి ఏటా సుమారు 23,230 మంది విద్యార్థులకు దాదాపు రూ.90 కోట్లు స్కాలర్ షిప్స్ కింద ఖర్చుచేస్తున్నారు.
ఎస్బీఐ ప్లాటినం జూబిలీ ఆశా స్కాలర్షిప్ ప్రతీ ఏటా (అన్నువల్గా) అందిస్తారు. ఇది ఒక్కసారి మాత్రమే ఇచ్చే స్కాలర్షిప్ కాదు. స్కాలర్షిప్ రెన్యూవల్ ప్రతీ సంవత్సరం జరుగుతుంది. విద్యార్థి మినిమమ్ ఎలిజిబిలిటీ క్రైటీరియా (ఉదా: 75 శాతం మార్కులు లేదా 7 CGPA, కుటుంబ ఆదాయ లిమిట్) నిర్వహిస్తే, కోర్సు పూర్తి అయ్యే వరకు ప్రతీ ఏటా స్కాలర్షిప్ కొనసాగుతుంది.
స్కాలర్షిప్ వివరాలు:
స్కూల్ స్టూడెంట్స్ (క్లాస్ 9 నుంచి 12): రూ. 15,000 నుంచి రూ. 50,000 వరకు పర్ ఇయర్
అండర్ గ్రాడ్యుయేట్ (UG): రూ. 75,000 నుంచి ఆ చదువును బట్టి..
పోస్ట్ గ్రాడ్యుయేట్ (PG), IITలు, IIMలు, ఓవర్సీస్ స్టడీస్ విద్యార్థులకు: రూ. 20 లక్షల వరకు (కోర్సు ఫీజు ఆధారంగా).
అర్హతలు:
భారతీయ పౌరులు అయి ఉండాలి
కుటుంబ ఆదాయం సంవత్సరానికి రూ. 3 లక్షల నుంచి రూ. 6 నుంచి 8 లక్షల లోపు ఉండాలి (పథకం ఆధారంగా మారవచ్చు)
మెరిట్:
మునుపటి పరీక్షల్లో 75 శాతం లేదా అంతకంటే ఎక్కువ మార్కులు వచ్చి ఉండాలి
వర్తింపు:
క్లాస్ 9 నుంచి 12, UG, PG, మెడికల్, IIT/IIM, ఓవర్సీస్ స్టడీస్ వరకు
కొన్ని కేటగిరీల్లో SC/ST, గర్ల్స్కు రిజర్వేషన్ (50 శాతం)
ఎస్బీఐ బ్యాంక్ అకౌంట్ ఉండటం తప్పనిసరి (కొన్ని పథకాల్లో)

Andhra Jyoti, December 22:State Bank of India (SBI) reflects its social responsibility by giving scholarships to meritorious students, training rural youth, supporting the disabled, adopting villages etc. Do you know that SBI is fulfilling its role in nation building. (SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship) or SBI Asha Scholarship Programme. This is a scheme for meritorious financially backward students. It is organized by SBI Foundation.
It is intended to help meritorious students from economically weaker sections of the country to continue their education. About Rs.90 Crores are spent on scholarships to about 23,230 students every year.
SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship is offered every year (annually). This is not a one-time scholarship. Scholarship renewal is done every year. If the student maintains the minimum eligibility criteria (eg: 75 percent marks or 7 CGPA, family income limit), the scholarship will continue every year till the completion of the course.
Scholarship Details:
School Students (Class 9 to 12): Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 50,000 per year
Undergraduate (UG): Rs. 75,000 depending on the study..
For Post Graduate (PG), IITs, IIMs, Overseas Studies students: Rs. 20 lakhs (based on course fees).
Eligibility:
Must be Indian citizens
Family income per annum Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 6 to 8 lakhs (may vary depending on the scheme)
Merit:
75 percent or more marks in previous exams
Applicability:
Class 9 to 12, UG, PG, Medical, IIT/IIM, Overseas Studies
For some categories SC/ST, Reservation for Girls (50 percent)
SBI Bank Account is mandatory (in some schemes)
