విశాఖ నుంచి ఛత్తీస్గఢ్లోని రాయ్పుర్ వరకు నిర్మిస్తున్న యాక్సెస్ కంట్రోల్ గ్రీన్ఫీల్డ్ హైవేపై వచ్చే ఏడాది డిసెంబరు నుంచి వాహనాలు పరుగులు పెట్టనున్నాయి. 465 కి.మీ. మేర ఆరు వరుసలతో నిర్మిస్తున్న ఈ హైవేకి రూ.16,482 కోట్లు వెచ్చిస్తున్నారు. ఏపీలో 92 శాతం పనులు పూర్తికాగా, ఒడిశా, ఛత్తీస్గఢ్లో వచ్చే ఏడాది చివరకు పనులు కొలిక్కి వస్తాయని అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు. ఇవి పూర్తికాగానే వాహనాల రాకపోకలను అనుమతించనున్నారు.
ఏపీలోనే శరవేగంగా పనులు
- ఈ హైవే ఏపీలో 100 కి.మీ., ఒడిశాలో 241 కి.మీ., ఛత్తీస్గఢ్లో 124 కి.మీ. కలిపి మొత్తం 465 కి.మీ. మేరకు ఉంటుంది.
- మన రాష్ట్ర పరిధిలో అనకాపల్లి జిల్లా సబ్బవరం వద్ద కోల్కతా-చెన్నై హైవే వద్ద మొదలై.. విజయనగరం, పార్వతీపురం మన్యం జిల్లాల మీదుగా పాచిపెంట మండలం బంగారుగుడి గ్రామం దాటిన తర్వాత ఒడిశాలోకి ప్రవేశిస్తుంది.
- ఏపీ పరిధిలో 92 కి.మీ. మేర పనులు పూర్తయ్యాయి.
- 5.5 కి.మీ. మేర పార్వతీపురం జిల్లాలోని అటవీ ప్రాంతంలో ఘాట్ సెక్షన్లో పనులు జరుగుతున్నాయి.
- కొత్తవలస మండలం చిన్నిపాలెంలో 2.5 కి.మీ., మెంటాడ మండలం జయతిలో 250 మీటర్ల మేర భూసేకరణ సమస్యతో పనులు ఇంకా మొదలుకాలేదు.
- ఇక్కడి భూములకు యజమానులు ఎక్కువ పరిహారం కోరుతుండగా, నిబంధనల ప్రకారం కుదరదంటూ జాతీయ రహదారుల ప్రాధికార సంస్థ (ఎన్హెచ్ఏఐ) చెబుతోంది. దీంతో హైకోర్టు, జిల్లా కోర్టుల్లో కేసులు నడుస్తున్నాయి. అవి పరిష్కారమయ్యాక పనులు ఆరంభించనున్నారు.

- ఈ హైవేను గంటకు గరిష్ఠంగా 100 కి.మీ. వేగంతో వాహనాలు పరుగులు పెట్టేలా డిజైన్ చేశారు.
- ఈ హైవే ద్వారా.. ఛత్తీస్గఢ్, ఒడిశా రాష్ట్రాల్లోని పారిశ్రామిక ఉత్పత్తులు, ఖనిజాలను విశాఖపట్నం ఓడరేవుకు వేగంగా రవాణా చేసేందుకు వీలు కలుగుతుంది. సరుకు రవాణా సులభమవుతుంది.
- రెండు నగరాల మధ్య ప్రజా రవాణా కూడా వేగంగా సాగించేందుకు అవకాశం ఏర్పడుతుంది.
- ఈ హైవే వల్ల మూడు రాష్ట్రాల్లోని ఏజెన్సీ ప్రాంతాలకు అనుసంధానం కలుగుతుంది.
- సబ్బవరం వద్ద చెన్నై-కోల్కతా హైవేలో ఈ హైవే మొదలయ్యేచోట.. సింగిల్ ట్రంపెట్ ఇంటర్ ఛేంజ్ నిర్మిస్తున్నారు.
