మహబూబ్నగర్ క్రీడలు:జిల్లా కేంద్రంలోని మెయిన్స్టేడియంలో ఆదివారం ఉమ్మడి జిల్లా సబ్జూనియర్ బాల, బాలికల సాఫ్ట్బాల్ జట్ల ఎంపికలు నిర్వహించారు. ఎంపికలకు ఉమ్మడి జిల్లా వ్యాప్తంగా దాదాపు 80 మంది క్రీడాకారులు హాజరైనట్లు జిల్లా సాఫ్ట్బాల్ సంఘం సభ్యులు నాగరాజు, రాఘవేందర్ తెలిపారు. మెదక్ జిల్లా మనోహారాబాద్లో ఈనెల 24, 25 తేదీల్లో బాలికల రాష్ట్రస్థాయి సబ్ జూనియర్, 28, 29 తేదీల్లో బాలుర పోటీలు జరుగుతాయని తెలిపారు. కార్యక్రమంలో వ్యాయామ ఉపాధ్యాయులు సుగుణ, వెంకటయ్య, శ్రీకాంత్, సునీత తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఎస్జీఎఫ్ అండర్–19 కరాటే ఎంపికలు
జిల్లా కేంద్రంలోని ఇండోర్స్టేడియంలో ఆదివారం స్కూల్ గేమ్స్ ఫెడరేషన్ ఉమ్మడి జిల్లా అండర్–19 విభాగం బాల, బాలికల కరాటే ఎంపికలు నిర్వహించా రు. ఎంపికలకు 50 మంది క్రీడాకారులు హాజరైనట్లు జిల్లా ఎస్జీఎఫ్ కార్యనిర్వాహక కార్యదర్శి డాక్టర్ శారదాబాయి తెలిపారు. ఎంపికై న క్రీడాకారులు ఈనెల 22 నుంచి 24 వరకు వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో జరిగే రాష్ట్రస్థాయి పోటీల్లో పాల్గొంటారని తెలిపారు. కార్యక్రమంలో పీడీ వేణుగోపాల్, కరాటే మాస్టర్లు పాల్గొన్నారు.
చికిత్స పొందుతూ వ్యక్తి మృతి
లింగాల:రోడ్డు ప్రమాదంలో గాయపడి ఆస్పత్రిలో చికిత్స పొందుతున్న ఆంజనేయులు (32) ఆదివారం తెల్లవారుజామున మృతి చెందిన ఘటన చోటు చేసుకుంది. పోలీసులు తెలిపిన వివరాల ప్రకారం.. పదరకు చెందిన ఆంజనేయులు శనివారం రాత్రి ద్విచక్ర వాహనంపై లింగాలకు వస్తున్న సమయంలో నర్సాయపల్లి గేటు దాటిన తర్వాత అడవి పందులు అడ్డురావడంతో ప్రమాదం చోటు చేసుకుంది. పందులను తప్పించబోయిన బైక్ అదుపుతప్పి కింద పడడంతో ఆంజనేయులుకు తీవ్రగాయాలయ్యాయి. క్షతగాత్రుడిని నాగర్కర్నూల్ జిల్లా ఆస్పత్రికి తరలించి, ప్రథమ చికిత్స అందించారు. వైద్యుల సూచన మేరకు మెరుగైన చికిత్స కోసం హైదరాబాద్లోని ఓ ప్రైవేట్ ఆస్పత్రికి తరలించారు. అక్కడే చికిత్స పొందుతూ ఆదివారం మృతి చెందాడు. మృతుడికి పదరకు చెందిన హరితతో నెల రోజుల క్రితం వివాహం జరిగింది. ఆమె మండల కేంద్రంలోని సాంఘీక సంక్షేమ శాఖ బాలుర గురుకుల పాఠశాల, కళాశాలలో నర్సుగా విధులు నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. హరిత ఫిర్యాదు మేరకు కేసు నమోదు చేసుకొని దర్యాప్తు జరుపుతున్నట్లు ఎస్ఐ వెంకటేశ్వరగౌడ్ తెలిపారు.

Man dies while receiving treatment
Lingala:Anjaneyulu (32) who was injured in a road accident and was being treated in the hospital died in the early hours of Sunday morning. According to the police, while the Anjaneys of Padara were coming to Linga on a two-wheeler on Saturday night, the accident took place when wild boars got in the way after crossing the Narsayapalli gate.
