Kakinada: Police have arrested two accused who are committing huge frauds in the name of digital arrests. The police have arrested Surampudi Chandrasekhar and Venkat Naveen from Kakinada.. and are hunting for some other accused.

Recently, a cyber gang who made a WhatsApp call to a retired employee from Kakinada threatened them with digital arrest and collected Rs. 59 lakhs. The accused transferred the money through RTGS and then converted it into crypto currency through shell company accounts. Binance deposits cash into personal accounts via P2P. The role of the accused has been identified in 65 cyber cases across the country. Police investigation has revealed that till now they have made Rs.8 crores through cyber frauds. 5 cell phones, 10 debit cards, check books and PAN cards were seized from the accused.
