టాలీవుడ్లో ప్రస్తుతం హాట్ టాపిక్ ఏదైనా ఉందంటే అది టికెట్ల రేట్ల అంశమే. పెద్ద సినిమాలు రిలీజైన ప్రతిసారి దీని గురించి చర్చ నడుస్తూనే ఉంటుంది. రీసెంట్గా 'అఖండ 2' వచ్చినప్పుడు కూడా రేట్ల పెంపుపై హైకోర్టు, తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ప్రశ్నించింది. సరే ఈ విషయం వదిలిస్తే ఇప్పుడు టాలీవుడ్ నటుడు, రచయిత, దర్శకుడు బీవీఎస్ రవి.. ఇదే అంశంపై ఓ ఇంటర్వ్యూలో ఆసక్తికర వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. అప్పట్లో వైఎస్ జగన్ తీసుకున్న నిర్ణయమే బెటర్ అని డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్లు, ఎగ్జిబిటర్లు అంటున్నారని చెప్పుకొచ్చారు.
'ఓటీటీల రాకతో ప్రేక్షకులు సినిమాలు చూసే విధానం పూర్తిగా మారిపోయింది. అద్భుతమైన కంటెంట్ వాటిలో దొరుకుతోంది. డబ్బున్నవాడు ఓటీటీలో మూవీస్ చూస్తుంటే.. డబ్బులేనివాడు టీవీలో చూస్తున్నాడు. ఒకప్పుడు సినిమా అనేది ఏకైక ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్ సాధనం. కానీ ఇప్పుడు చాలా ఉన్నాయి. అందులోనూ సినిమా.. చాలా ఖరీదైన ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్గా మారిపోయింది. జగన్ మోహన్ రెడ్డి గారు అప్పట్లో టికెట్ రేట్లు తగ్గిస్తే వీళ్లందరూ వ్యతిరేకించారు. కానీ ఇప్పుడు వాస్తవానికి చాలామంది డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్లు, ఎగ్జిబిటర్లతో మాట్లాడినప్పుడు.. ఆ రేట్లే బెటర్ సర్, కనీసం జనాలు థియేటర్లకు వచ్చేవారు అని నాతో అన్నారు'
'ఈ రోజుల్లో సరసమైన ధరలకు తక్కువ రేట్లకు సినిమా చూపిస్తామని చెప్పుకోవడం పబ్లిసిటీ మెటీరియల్ అయిపోయింది. ఇంకొన్నాళ్లకు 1+1 ఆఫర్ ఇచ్చినా ఆశ్చర్యపోవాల్సిన పనిలేదు. టికెట్ కొంటే మరో టికెట్ ఫ్రీ అని.. జంటగా వచ్చి సినిమా చూడొచ్చని, గర్ల్ఫ్రెండ్తో కలిసి సినిమా చూడొచ్చని బోర్డులు పెట్టినా పెట్టొచ్చు. మనం చెప్పలేం. అలాంటి పరిస్థితి వచ్చేసింది' అని బీవీఎస్ రవి తన అభిప్రాయాన్ని చెప్పారు.
ఈయన చెప్పినది చూస్తే జరుగుతున్నది, జరగబోయేది ఇదే కదా అనిపిస్తుంది. ఎందుకంటే రీసెంట్ టైంలో రిలీజైన లిటిల్ హార్ట్స్, రాజు వెడ్స్ రాంబాయి చిత్రాలకు రూ.99 టికెట్ అనే ప్రచారం చాలా ప్లస్ అయింది. ఇప్పటికైనా టాలీవుడ్ దర్శకనిర్మాతలు టికెట్ రేట్ల విషయంలో పునారాలోచన చేసుకోకపోతే మాత్రం రాబోయే రోజుల్లో ప్రేక్షకుడు.. థియేటర్కి పూర్తిగా దూరమయ్యే అవకాశముంది.
