బేతుల్(Bethul) జిల్లాకు చెందిన సురభి యాదవ్(Surabhi Yadav) అనే పదేళ్ల బాలిక 5వ తరగతి చదువుతోంది. విద్యా హక్కు చట్టం(RTE Act) కింద పాఠశాలలో చేరి.. రోజూ 18 కి.మీ. పాటు ప్రయాణించి విద్యనభ్యసిస్తోంది. అయితే.. ఆర్థిక ఇబ్బందుల దృష్ట్యా వారి కుటుంబం.. ఆ విద్యార్థినికి స్కూల్ వ్యాన్(School Van) ఫీజు చెల్లించలేకపోయింది. దీంతో పాఠశాల యాజమాన్యం ఆమెకు వ్యాన్లో అనుమతి నిరాకరించింది. దీంతో ఆ చిన్నారి రోడ్డెక్కింది. తనకు స్కూల్ బస్ ప్రయాణాన్ని నిరాకరించిన స్కూల్ యాజమాన్యంపై నిరసన చేపట్టింది. రోడ్డుపై వాహనాలు క్యూ కట్టినా ఆమె తొణకకుండా ధైర్యంగా కూర్చుంది. ఎవరొచ్చి బుజ్జగించినా వినిపించుకోలేదు.
ఆ బాలిక కుటుంబం రెండేళ్లుగా ట్రాన్స్పోర్ట్ ఫీజు చెల్లించలేదని పాఠశాల యాజమాన్యం పేర్కొంది. పదే పదే చెప్పినా వారు పట్టించుకోలేదని వాదించింది. అందుకే స్కూల్ బస్కు అనుమతి నిరాకరించినట్టు తెలిపింది. ఈ విషయమై సురభి తల్లి ఆశా యాదవ్(Asha Yadav) స్పందిస్తూ.. 'నా కూతురికి ఆర్టీఈ యాక్ట్ కింద అడ్మిషన్ ఇచ్చారు. కానీ రెగ్యులర్గా తరగతులకు హాజరు కానివ్వడం లేదు. గత నవంబర్లోనూ కొన్ని రోజులే పర్మిషన్ ఇచ్చి ఆపేశారు. ఇవ్వాళ ఇలా రోడ్డుపై వదిలేశారు. ఆమె తీవ్ర ఒత్తిడిలో ఉంది. ఏడుస్తోంది' అని తమ గోడు వెళ్లబుచ్చుకున్నారు.
