ఆ బాలికపై అదే ప్రాంతానికి చెందిన 20 ఏళ్ల కోటేశ్వరావు, 21 ఏళ్ల కోటయ్యల కన్నుపడింది. ప్రేమ పేరుతో ఆమెను వేధించటం మొదలెట్టారు. కోటేశ్వరావు అనే యువకుడు మరింత దారుణంగా ప్రవర్తించాడు. తనను ప్రేమించకపోతే యాసిడ్ పోసి చంపేస్తానంటూ హెచ్చరించాడు. ఇద్దరు యువకుల వేధింపులు రోజురోజుకు పెరిగిపోసాగాయి. వారి టార్చర్ భరించలేకపోయిన బాలిక ఈ విషయాన్ని తన తల్లిదండ్రులకు చెప్పింది. వారు వెంటనే పోలీసులను ఆశ్రయించారు. స్థానిక పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో కోటేశ్వరావు, కోటయ్యలపై ఫిర్యాదు చేశారు. పోలీసులు వారిపై ఫోక్సో కింద కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టారు. ఇద్దర్నీ అరెస్ట్ చేసి కోర్టులో హాజరుపరిచారు. కోర్టు వారికి 14 రోజుల రిమాండ్ విధించింది.
