Various misconceptions about meditation... It is thought that only saints meditate. They want to live beyond all ties, emotions and business. In fact all these are opinions formed due to lack of proper understanding!
The source of this confusion is not knowing the difference between the two states of mind. It is different from being completely detached from worldly things. Let's call it 'detachment'. It is different to perform all the responsibilities in the daily life while being mindful of the results. This is 'non-attachment'. Meditation belongs to this second category. It does not increase detachment, it holds everything and keeps it from rooting. Let's see what happens during meditation. There are always situations and occasions in life. If not, fearing hardships and putting them away; Clinging to pleasures will not do. They are observing just for the sake of it. They can clearly understand what is happening inside them. This sadhana makes man conscious. Increases sensitivity in him. Meditators usually feel more. Understand the pain of others. Enjoys attachments. Relationships improve. Meditation allows us to care for others without losing ourselves. Research shows that people who have practiced meditation for years have greater emotional awareness, deeper empathy, and better relationships than others.
A paradox can be observed here regarding the human psyche. People who focus too much on results do not respond with enough attention to what is actually happening. People who are afraid of losing a connection make it more stressful. It is unnatural for those who expect exact results to do so. Parents who have a fixed idea of what their children should be will destroy their attachment to them. As mentioned above, those with the non-attachment mindset brought about by meditation do not have these difficulties. Our response to events is clearer and freer when we expect the outcome to be precisely this way. We can take decisions without any fear.
Meditators do not run away from life. One can enjoy life without getting bogged down in experiences. Able to take on challenges without fear of failure. Able to face uncertainty without fear. Meditation makes the mind still and wide but not empty.
