చెన్నై (పళ్లిపట్టు), న్యూస్టుడే: జీవిత బీమా డబ్బుల కోసం కన్న తండ్రిని పాముతో కాటేయించి హత్య చేశారు ఆయన కుమారులు. మొదటి సారి విఫలమైతే రెండోసారి విషపూరిత పాముతో కాటేయించి, చనిపోయే వరకూ వదల్లేదు. ఈ అమానవీయ ఘటన తమిళనాడులోని తిరువళ్లూరు జిల్లా పొదటూరుపేటలో చోటుచేసుకుంది. పట్టణానికి చెందిన గణేశన్(56) అక్టోబరు 22న పాముకాటుతో మృతి చెందాడని ఆయన కుమారులు మోహన్రాజ్, హరిహరన్ పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేశారు. ఆ తర్వాత గణేశన్ పేరిట ఉన్న రూ.3 కోట్ల బీమా పొందేందుకు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకున్నారు. బీమా క్లెయిమ్ చేస్తున్న సమయంలో గణేశన్పై అధిక విలువైన అనేక పాలసీలు ఉండటం, కుమారుల ప్రవర్తనపై అనుమానం రావడంతో బీమా సంస్థ ప్రతినిధులు పోలీసులను ఆశ్రయించారు. దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టిన పోలీసులు.. పథకం ప్రకారమే ఈ హత్య చేసినట్లు తేల్చారు. గణేశన్ నిద్రిస్తున్నప్పుడు విషపూరిత పామును ఆయనపై వదిలారు. అది కాటు వేశాక బాధితుడిని ఆసుపత్రికి తీసుకెళ్లకుండా కావాలనే జాప్యం చేశారు. వారం కిందటే ఇలాంటి ప్రయత్నం చేసినా.. అప్పట్లో వదిలిన పాము విషపూరితం కాకపోవడంతో పథకం పారలేదు. దీంతో 22న మళ్లీ విషపూరిత పామును తెప్పించి గణేశన్ పడుకున్న సమయంలో కాటేయించారు. ఈ కేసులో ఇద్దరు కుమారులు, వారికి సహకరించిన మనవూరు గ్రామానికి చెందిన బాలాజీ(28), ప్రశాంత్(35), నవీన్ కుమార్(28), రాణిపేట జిల్లా మోసూరుకు చెందిన దినకరన్(28)ను శుక్రవారం రాత్రి పోలీసుల అరెస్టు చేశారు.
