నరసరావుపేటసెంట్రల్, న్యూస్టుడే: చిలకలూరిపేట వద్ద ఇటీవల జరిగిన రోడ్డుప్రమాదంలో ఐదుగురి మృతికి కారణమైన కేసులో ఏఎస్సై కుమారుడు వెంకటనాయుడితో పాటు మరో నలుగురిని పోలీసులు అరెస్టుచేసి కోర్టులో హాజరుపరిచారు. రిమాండ్లో ఉన్న నిందితులను ఈ నెల 22 వరకు పోలీస్ కస్టడీకి పంపేందుకు కోర్టు అనుమతి ఇచ్చింది. వీరితోపాటు మరో ఇద్దరు అంజి, భానుప్రకాష్లను పోలీసులు అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు. వారిచ్చిన సమాచారం ఆధారంగా నిందితులు విక్రయించిన 22 కార్లను గ్రామీణ పోలీసులు శనివారం స్వాధీనం చేసుకొన్నారు.
అక్రమ కార్యకలాపాలు ఇలా
నిందితుడు వెంకటనాయుడు బృందంతో పాటు మరో ఇద్దరు నిందితులు అంజి, భానుప్రకాష్లు ఫైనాన్స్ కింద తాకట్టు పెట్టుకున్న కార్లతో పాటు అపహరించిన కార్లను పోలీసు, రాజకీయ నాయకులకు తక్కువ ధరకు ఇచ్చి మభ్యపెట్టేవారు. ఈ క్రమంలో వెంకటనాయుడి తండ్రి పోలీసుశాఖలో కొందరు ఉన్నతాధికారులకు తక్కువ ధరకు కార్లు ఇప్పించి తాను చేయాలనుకున్న పనులు చక్కబెట్టుకునేవారు. వారి అండతో వెంకటనాయుడు ఇష్టానుసారం వ్యవహరించేవాడు. పోలీసులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్న కార్లలో పోలీసులు, రాజకీయ నాయకులకు అమ్మినవి లేవు. అవేమయ్యాయో తెలియాల్సి ఉంది. స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్న కార్లలో విజయవాడ, హైదరాబాద్, విశాఖపట్నం, నకరికల్లు, చిలకలూరిపేట, మాచర్ల, గురజాల ప్రాంతాలకు చెందినవాటిలో.. ఈఎంఐ చెల్లించనివి ఉన్నాయి. ఒంగోలులో కొందరికి కార్లు విక్రయించారన్న సమాచారం మేరకు దర్యాప్తు బృందం ఒంగోలు వెళ్లగా అక్కడ కార్లు లభించలేదు.
విచారణకు సహకరించని నిందితుడు
పల్నాడు జిల్లాలో ఓ ప్రజాప్రతినిధికి నాలుగు కార్లను అమ్మినట్లు తొలుత చెప్పిన వెంకటనాయుడు విచారణలో ఎవరికీ కార్లు అమ్మలేదని తెలిపారు. ఎన్ని కార్లు ఫైనాన్స్లో తీసుకున్నారు, ఎన్ని.. ఎవరికి విక్రయించారనే కోణంలో పోలీసులు విచారిస్తున్నారు. పోలీసులకు అతడు సహకరించట్లేదని సమాచారం.
