పుస్తకం హస్తభూషణం.. ఒక మంచి పుస్తకం ఓ ఉత్తమ స్నేహితుడితో సమానం అంటారు. సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల ప్రభావం పెరిగినా.. పుస్తక పఠనం చేసేవారూ ఎంతో మంది ఉన్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఎన్టీఆర్ స్టేడియంలో ‘హైదరాబాద్ బుక్ ఫెయిర్’ కొనసాగుతోంది. చాలా మంది పదుల సంఖ్యలో పుస్తకాలను కొనుగోలు చేస్తున్నారు. మరికొంత మంది ఇంట్లో మినీ గ్రంథాలయాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసుకుంటారు. వాటి నిర్వహణ సరిగ్గా లేకపోతే త్వరగా పాడయ్యే అవకాశం ఉంది. సమయం దొరికినప్పుడు చదవొచ్చని ఓ మూలన పెట్టుకుంటారు. జాగ్రత్తలు పాటిస్తే దశాబ్దాల పాటు భద్రంగా ఉంటాయని నిపుణులు చెబుతున్నారు.
కదిలించకుండా ఎక్కువరోజులు పెడితే..
ఒకేచోట కదిలించకుండా ఎక్కువ రోజులు పెడితే దుమ్ము పేరుకుపోతుంది. దుమ్ము దులపకుండా ఉంచితే త్వరగా పాడవుతాయి. బ్యాక్టీరియా, శిలీంధ్రాలు చేరి వాసన వస్తుంది. పుస్తకాల, కాగితాల ఆకారం, రంగు, నాణ్యతపై ప్రభావం పడుతుంది. ఇంట్లో దుమ్ము ఎక్కువగా వస్తుంటే.. వాటిపై తాత్కాలికంగా వస్త్రం కప్పితే చాలు. మార్కెట్లో ప్రత్యేకంగా ‘డస్ట్ జాకెట్స్’ అందుబాటులో ఉంటాయి.
గది ఉష్ణోగ్రత ముఖ్యమే..
గది ఉష్ణోగ్రత 18-20 డిగ్రీల కంటే తక్కువ.. 40-50 డిగ్రీల కంటే ఎక్కువగా ఉండకూడదు. అధిక తేమ వల్ల ఫంగస్, తక్కువ తేమ కారణంగా కాగితానికి పగుళ్లు ఏర్పడొచ్చు. వాటిపై నేరుగా సూర్యకాంతి పడకుండా చూడాలి. ఒకదానిపై ఒకటి పెట్టొద్దు. నిటారుగా పెట్టాలి. త్వరగా తీసుకోవడానికి సులభంగా ఉంటుంది. పుస్తకాలు చివర్లో పెట్టడానికి ‘బుక్ ఎండ్స్’ కూడా ముఖ్యమే.

ఎక్కడ పుస్తక ప్రదర్శన ఏర్పాటు చేసిన పుస్తకాలు కొనుగోలు చేస్తా. ఇంట్లో మినీ గ్రంథాలయం ఏర్పాటైంది. మొదట్లో పుస్తకాలు త్వరగా పాడయ్యేవి. జాగ్రత్తలు పాటించా. చదివిన తర్వాత మడత పెట్టొద్దు. కాగితాలు త్వరగా పాడవుతాయి. వీటికి ‘బుక్ మార్క్’లు ఉపయోగించాలి.మార్కెట్లోఅందుబాటులో ఉన్నాయి.
