గువాహటి:ఎన్నికల ప్రక్రియలో చొరబాటుదారులను దూరంగా ఉంచేందుకే స్పెషల్ ఇంటెన్సివ్ రివిజన్ (SIR)ను ఎన్నికల కమిషన్ చేపట్టిందని ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీ (Narendra Modi) చెప్పారు. అయితే చొరబాటుదారులను కాపాడేందుకు కొందరు ద్రోహులు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారని తప్పుపట్టారు. చొరబాట్లను నిలిపివేసేందుకు కేంద్రం కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటోందని చెప్పారు. అసోంలోని గువాహటిలో శనివారంనాడు జరిగిన కార్యక్రమంలో ప్రధాని మాట్లాడుతూ, అసోం, ఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రాలకు దశాబ్దాలుగా కాంగ్రెస్ నిర్లక్ష్యం చేసిందని, కాంగ్రెస్ చేసిన తప్పిదాలను తాను సరిదిద్దుతున్నానని చెప్పారు.

'కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వాలు అసోం, ఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రాలను అభివృద్ధికి నోచకుండా పాపం మూటకట్టుకున్నాయి. తద్వారా ఐక్యత, భద్రత, సమగ్రత పరంగా దేశం భారీ మూల్యం చెల్లించుకుంది. కాంగ్రెస్ హయాంలో దశాబ్దాలుగా హింస కొనసాగుతూనే ఉంది. ఆ పరిస్థితిని గత పది, పన్నెండేళ్లలో అధిగమించి ముందుకు వెళ్తున్నాం. ఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రాల్లో హింసాత్మకంగా పేరుపడిన పలు జిల్లాలు ఈరోజు అభివృద్ధి బాట పడుతున్నాయి' అని మోదీ అన్నారు.
చొరబాటు దారులకు కాంగ్రెస్ కొమ్ముకాసేదని, అడవులు, భూములు ఆక్రమించుకుని, అసోం భద్రత, ఉనికికి ప్రమాదకరంగా మారిన చొరబాటుదారులకు కాంగ్రెస్ రక్షణ కల్పించేందని ప్రధాని అన్నారు. దశాబ్దాలుగా ఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రాల్లో జరిగిన ఈ పొరపాట్లను బీజేపీ ప్రభుత్వం సరిదిద్దుతోందని అన్నారు.
కాగా, ప్రధాని అసోం పర్యటనలో భాగంగా గౌహతిలోని లోకప్రియ గోపీనాథ్ బార్డోలోయ్ అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయం కొత్త ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ టెర్మినల్ భవనాన్ని శనివారంనాడు ప్రారంభించారు. రూ.4,000 కోట్ల ఖర్చుతో నిర్మించిన ఈ టెర్మినల్ ఏడాదికి 1.3కోట్ల మంది ప్రయాణికులకు సేవలందించనుంది.
