‘‘ఇది 1948లో జరిగిన కథ. యాక్షన్, డ్రామా, వార్ అన్నీ ఉంటాయి. చరిత్రలో బైరాన్పల్లి గురించి చాలామందికి తెలుసు. అందులో మైఖేల్ అనే ఒక ఫిక్షనల్ క్యారెక్టర్ని క్రియేట్ చేసి ఈ కథని ప్రజెంట్ చేశారు. నేను తెలుగు బాగానే మాట్లాడతాను. ఇందులో నేను పోషించిన పాత్ర పూర్తిగా హైదరాబాదీ. ఆ యాస స్పష్టంగా రావడం కోసం వర్క్ షాప్స్ కూడా చేశాం. ఇక ఇండియాకి స్వాతంత్ర్యం వచ్చిన తర్వాతి కాలంలో జరిగిన కథ ఇది. మా డైరెక్టర్ అనేక రిఫరెన్సులు ఇచ్చారు. ఇందులో అద్భుతమైన డ్రామా ఉంది. ప్రతి దానికి ఒక కనెక్షన్ ఉంటుంది’’

‘‘నటనలో భావోద్వేగాలు పండించాలంటే అందుకు తగిన మానసిక పరిపక్వత రావలి. ఈ మూడేళ్లలో నా ప్రయాణం చాలా భిన్నంగా జరిగింది. చాలా నేర్చుకున్నాను. స్క్రిప్ట్ విషయంలో నేను పెద్దగా తలదూర్చను. కథ వినగానే నచ్చింది. కచ్చితంగా ఈ సినిమానే చేయాలనుకున్నాను. అయితే నా క్యారెక్టర్ ఎలా చేయాలి? ఎలా ఉంటే బాగుంటుందనేది దర్శకుడు ప్రదీప్తో చర్చించే వాడిని. నేనొక్కడినే కాదు బైరాన్ పల్లి గ్రామంలో ప్రతి పాత్రకు ప్రాధాన్యం ఉంటుంది. ఒక ప్రారంభం ముగింపు ఉంటుంది. కోవై సరళ అద్భుతమైన టైమింగ్ ఉన్న నటి. ఈ సినిమాలో నాన్న గారితో పనిచేసిన చాలామంది నటీనటులతో కలిసి నటించే అవకాశం దొరికింది. ఇందులో హీరో హీరోయిన్ మధ్య డ్రామా అనే కాన్సెప్ట్తో చాలా మంచి ఫన్ ఉంటుంది. అనస్వర మలయాళంలో దాదాపు 25 సినిమాలు చేసింది. అనుభవం ఉన్న నటి. తన క్యారెక్టర్లో చాలా డెప్త్ ఉంటుంది’’

‘‘ప్రతి సినిమా విభిన్నంగా ఉండాలని కోరుకుంటాను. ఒకే తరహా సినిమాలు చేసుకుంటూ పోతే బోర్. ఇప్పుడు ఆడియన్స్ మనస్తత్వం కూడా మారిపోయింది. ప్రేక్షకులు థియేటర్ రావాలంటే చక్కటి అనుభూతి పంచే కథ చేయాలి. ఈ సినీ ప్రయాణం నాలో ఓపికను పెంచింది. నటుడిగా కొత్త రోషన్ని చూస్తారు. ఇక ఇండస్ట్రీలో అఖిల్ మంచి ఫ్రెండ్. అలాగే తమన్తో కలిసి క్రికెట్ ఆడుతుంటా. ఇక ట్రైలర్ లాంచ్ ఈవెంట్లో రామ్ చరణ్ గారు నన్ను ప్రశంసించడం చాలా ఆనందంగా ఉంది. చరణ్ అన్న నాకు చిన్నప్పటి నుంచి తెలుసు. నా గురించి మా సినిమా గురించి టీం గురించి ఆయన చాలా బాగా మాట్లాడారు. నిజంగా చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉంది’’
క్రికెటర్ అవ్వాలనుకున్నా..
‘‘స్వప్న అక్క, ప్రియాంక అక్క, దత్తు గారు అందరూ కూడా ఒక ఫ్యామిలీలా ఉంటాం. దత్తుగారు ఎంతోమందిని వెండితెరకు పరిచయం చేశారు. ఎన్నో గొప్ప సినిమాలు తీశారు. అలాంటి ప్రొడ్యూసర్ నాకు ఇంత గ్రాండ్గా ఛాంపియన్ సినిమా ఇచ్చినందుకు చాలా ఆనందంగా ఉంది. నేను మొదట క్రికెటర్ అవ్వాలనుకున్నాను. నిజానికి మా నాన్న కోరిక కూడా అదే. సినిమాలపై ఆసక్తి ఏర్పడటంతో ఇటు వచ్చేశా. ఈసారి ఎక్కువ గ్యాప్ లేకుండా కనీసం రెండు సంవత్సరాలకి మూడు సినిమాలు చేయాలని అనుకుంటున్నాను’’
