సర్పంచ్.. జాతీయ అథ్లెటిక్స్ క్రీడాకారుడు
హుస్నాబాద్రూరల్:గురుకుల పాఠశాలలో చదివిన వేల్పుల సంపత్ క్రీడల్లోనూ రాణించారు. అదే పట్టుదలతో గ్రామ సర్పంచ్గా పోటీచేసి గెలుపొందారు. హుస్నాబాద్ మండలం మీర్జాపూర్ సర్పంచ్ వేల్పుల సంపత్ డిగ్రీ పూర్తి చేసి ఎస్బీఐ ఇన్సూరెన్స్లో పని చేస్తున్నారు. పాఠశాల దశ నుంచి అథ్లెటిక్స్, జిమ్నాస్టిక్స్ జాతీయ క్రీడల్లో పాల్గొన్నారు. పలు రాష్ట్రాల్లో జరిగిన క్రీడల్లో పాల్గొని బహుమతులు పొందారు. పంచాయతీ ఎన్నికల్లో కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ మద్దతుతో సర్పంచ్గా పోటీ చేసి విజయం సాధించారు. క్రీడల్లో రాణించినట్లే పట్టుదలతో గ్రామాభివృద్ధికి కృషి చేస్తానని సంపత్ తెలిపారు.

అక్కన్నపేట(హుస్నాబాద్):మూడో విడత పంచాయతీ ఎన్నికల్లో విద్యావంతులు సర్పంచ్లుగా గెలిచారు. మండలంలోని మైసమ్మవాగుతండా సర్పంచ్గా గెలిచిన కృష్ణనాయక్ బీఈడీ, పీజీ ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీలో పూర్తి చేశారు. పెద్దతండా సర్పంచ్గా గెలిచిన గుగులోతు తిరుపతినాయక్ ఎంఏ, ఎంఈడీ, పీహెచ్డీ ఓయూలో చేశారు. సేవా లాల్ మహరాజ్తండా సర్పంచ్గా గెలిచిన జరుపుల సునీత డిగ్రీ చదివారు. ఈమె వయస్సు 22 ఏళ్లు. చిన్న వయస్సులో సర్పంచ్ కావడంతో తండావాసులు సంతోషం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. విద్యావంతులై ప్రథమ పౌరులుగా, ప్రజా సేవకు సిద్ధమవుతుండటంతో సర్వత్రా హర్షం వ్యక్తమవుతోంది.

కొమురవెల్లి(సిద్దిపేట):మొన్నటి వరకు భర్త సర్పంచ్గా ఉన్నారు. బుధవారం జరిగిన ఎన్నికల్లో భార్య సర్పంచ్గా గెలిచారు. మండలంలోని రసులాబాద్ సర్పంచ్గా బీఆర్ఎస్ మద్దతుదారు పచ్చిమడ్ల స్వామి అనూష సర్పంచ్గా గెలుపొందారు. ఇప్పటి వరకు ఆమె భర్త పచ్చిమడ్ల స్వామి సర్పంచ్గా ఉండగా ఈసారి భార్యను పోటీలో ఉంచారు. స్వతంత్ర అభ్యర్థిపై 50 ఓట్లతో గెలుపొందారు.

చేర్యాల(సిద్దిపేట):మండల పరిధిలోని మేజర్ గ్రామ పంచాయతీ ఆకునూరులో అర్ధరాత్రి వరకు ఓట్ల లెక్కింపు కొనసాగింది. సర్పంచ్, 11 వార్డు స్థానాలకు జరిగిన ఎన్నికల పోలింగ్లో 3,592 ఓట్లు పోలయ్యాయి. భోజన విరామ అనంతరం ప్రారంభమైన ఓట్ల లెక్కింపు అర్ధరాత్రి వరకు కొనసాగడంతో గెలుపుపై అందరిలో ఉత్కంఠ నెలకొంది. ఓట్లు ఎక్కవ కావడం, బరిలో నిలిచిన అభ్యర్థుల సంఖ్య కూడా ఎక్కువగా ఉండటంతో లెక్కింపునకు సమయం పట్టినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. ఉత్కంఠ భరిత ఓట్ల లెక్కింపులో కాంగ్రెస్ మండల అధ్యక్షుడు కొమ్ము రవి 856 ఓట్ల మెజార్టీతో విజయం సాధించారు.
సర్పంచ్ అభ్యర్థికి ఒక్కటే ఓటు
చేర్యాల మండల పరిధిలోని శభాష్గూడెం సర్పంచ్గా బరిలో నిలిచిన దాసరి శ్రీశైలం అనే అభ్యర్థికి కేవలం ఒక్క ఓటు మాత్రమే వచ్చినట్లు అధికారులు ధ్రువీకరించారు. సర్పంచ్గా పోటీ చేయాలంటే అదే గ్రామానికి చెందిన ఒక ఓటరు బలపర్చాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఇక్కడ ఈ అభ్యర్థికి కేవలం ఒక్క ఓటే వచ్చింది. అంటే బలపర్చిన వ్యక్తి కూడా ఓటు వేయలేదా? అన్న చర్చ జరుగుతోంది.
