దిల్లీ: భారత్లో తొలిసారిగా కిక్ బాక్సింగ్ సూపర్ లీగ్(కేఎస్ఎల్) జరగబోతుంది. ఈ మేరకు దిల్లీలో లీగ్ ప్రారంభోత్సవ వేడుకలు జరిగాయి. వాకో ఇండియా నేషనల్ ఛాంపియన్షిప్ పోటీలు జరుగుతున్న వేళ కేఎస్ఎల్ను ప్రారంభించారు. భారత్లో కిక్ బాక్సింగ్ను బలోపేతం చేయడమే లక్ష్యంగా ఈ లీగ్ను తీసుకొచ్చినట్లు నిర్వాహకులు తెలిపారు.
‘‘నిర్మాణాత్మక పోటీలు, అథ్లెట్లకు కాంట్రాక్టులు, ప్రతిభకు ప్రోత్సాహకాలు, మారుమూల క్రీడాకారులకు మంచి అవకాశాలు కల్పిస్తూ భారత్లో కిక్బాక్సింగ్కు గుర్తింపు తీసుకురావడమే లక్ష్యంగా కేఎస్ఎల్ను ప్రారంభించాం. సీజన్ 1లో ఎనిమిది ఫ్రాంఛైజీ జట్లు ఉంటాయి. ఒక్కో జట్టులో 34 మంది ఫైటర్లుంటారు. ఈ లీగ్లో మహిళలకు ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తున్నాం. క్రీడాకారుల్లో 60 శాతం పురుషులు, 40 శాతం మహిళలుంటారు. 20 శాతం అంతర్జాతీయ అథ్లెట్లు పాల్గొనే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఈ లీగ్లో అత్యుత్తమ ప్రతిభ కనబర్చిన వారికి రూ. కోటి నగదు బహుమతి ఉంటుంది’’అని నిర్వాహకులు తెలిపారు.
కేఎస్ఎల్ సహ-వ్యవహస్థాపకుడు అజయ్ అడ్లఖ మాట్లాడుతూ.. ఈ లీగ్ను ఎంతో పటిష్ఠంగా, పారదర్శకంగా నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు చెప్పారు. దీని ద్వారా అథ్లెట్స్కు, జట్లకు, భాగస్వాములకు లాభం చేకూరుతుందన్నారు. కేఎస్ఎల్ ప్రారంభోత్సవ కార్యక్రమంలో పలువురు ప్రభుత్వ ప్రతినిధులు, జాతీయ క్రీడాశాఖ అధికారులు, క్రీడాకారులు, కోచ్లు తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ లీగ్లో పాల్గొనాలంటే క్రీడకారులు ఆన్లైన్లో రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ చేసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఆ తర్వాత దేశవ్యాప్తంగా క్యాంపులు ఏర్పాటు చేసి.. క్రీడాకారుల్ని ఎంపిక చేస్తారు. ఆ తర్వాత క్రీడాకారుల వేలం ఉంటుంది. జట్ల యాజమాన్యాలతో క్రీడాకారులకు సీజన్ వారీగా కాంట్రాక్టులు ఉంటాయి.

Delhi: Kickboxing Super for the first time in India. League (KSL) is going to be held. To this end, the inaugural ceremony of the league was held in Delhi. KSL was launched during the Waco India National Championship. Organizers said that the aim of this league is to strengthen kick boxing in India.
``We have started KSL with the aim of bringing recognition to kickboxing in India by providing structured competitions, contracts for athletes, incentives for talent and good opportunities for remote athletes. Season 1 will have eight franchise teams. Each team has 34 fighters. Women are given priority in this league. 60 percent of the players are men and 40 percent are women. 20 percent international athletes are likely to participate. The best talent in this league will get Rs. There will be a cash prize of Rs.1 crore," said the organizers.
KSL co-founder Ajay Adlakha said that this league will be organized in a very strong and transparent manner. This will benefit the athletes, teams and partners. Several government representatives, officials of the National Sports Department, players, coaches and others participated in the KSL inauguration program.
To participate in this league, the players have to register online. After that, camps will be organized across the country and the players will be selected. After that there will be an auction of players. Players have season wise contracts with team owners.
