Penukonda Rural:YSR CP District President Ushasree Charan said that democracy is being mocked under Chandrababu's regime. He said that the attack on the YSRCP leaders who had gone to issue a whip in the wake of MPP election in Bommanahal of Rayadurgam constituency was a proof of this. She issued a statement to this effect on Saturday. While the Bommanahal MP election is on 5th of this month, YSRCP coordinator Mettu Govinda Reddy, who went to the MPDO office on Saturday to issue the whip, was attacked by the TDP leaders. Ushasree Charan expressed his grief that the YSRCP leaders were also attacked indiscriminately. There are 16 MPTC seats in Bommanhal mandal. He said that TDP is doing degenerate politics to capture the seat of MP with only one MPTC. The fact that the police, who are supposed to conduct elections in a democratic manner, are also acting as spectators is a proof of the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
