Puttaparthi Town: SP Satish Kumar ordered that every police should work with the aim of crime control. An annual crime review meeting was held with DSPs, CIs and SIs of all subdivisions under the chairmanship of the SP at the local Sai Aram on Saturday. During the year 2024-25, SP Satish Kumar discussed about registration of cases, investigation and progress in pending cases and directed the staff. Later, nomination awards were given to 8 policemen who showed merit in all departments in the year 2025. Also shields were given to the DSPs, CIs, SIs and IT Court Team staff who performed well in the Sathya Sai Baba Sata Jayanti Utatsaval. Later, the SP said... He wants to make quick progress in various cases pending for a long time within the station. Crime control should be the primary goal and justice should be done to every victim. New SIs should work more responsibly. They want to increase the recovery percentage by cracking down on property crimes. Strict measures should be taken to prevent crimes against women and children. Also they want to keep a vigil on the movements of rowdy sheeters and old criminals. To prevent thefts, patrols should be increased at night and visible policing should be given high priority.
Visit villages..
The SP staff was instructed to interact with the people and know their problems through village visits and village sleeps. They want to create awareness about CC cameras at the village level and encourage them to install them in temples, streets and houses.
