సాక్షి హైదరాబాద్: నగర వాసులకు జీహెచ్ఎంసీ బంపర్ ఆఫర్ ప్రకటించింది. మహానగర పురపాలక సంస్థ పరిధిలోని ప్రాపర్టీ ట్యాక్స్కు వన్ టైమ్ సెటిల్మెంట్ చేసుకోవచ్చని తెలిపింది. ప్రైవేట్, ప్రభుత్వ ఆస్తుల పెండింగ్ బకాయిలపై 90శాతం మినహాయింపు ప్రకటించింది. వినియోగదారుడు కేవలం ప్రాపర్టీ ట్యాక్స్తో కలిపి కేవలం 10శాతం చెల్లిస్తే సరిపోతుందని తెలిపింది.
కాగా ఇటీవల గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్ బృహత్ నగరంగా ఆవిష్కృతమైంది. ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు అనుకోని ఉన్న 20 పురపాలక సంఘాలు, ఏడు నగరపాలక సంస్థలకు జీహెచ్ఎంసీలో విలీనం చేస్తూ ఇటీవల నోటిఫికేషన్ విడుదలైంది. దీంతో ప్రస్తుత ప్రాపర్టీ ట్యాక్స్ ఆపర్ వీటికి వర్తించనుంది. ఈ లెక్కలతో జీహెచ్ఎంసీకి భారీగానే ఆదాయం వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉంది. గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్ మున్సిపాలిటీ పరిధిలోని అన్ని ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేట్ ఆస్తులకు ఈ ఆఫర్ వర్తిస్తుందని జీహెచ్ఎంసీ కమిషనర్ ఆర్వీ కర్ణన్ పేర్కొన్నారు.
జీహెచ్ఎంసీ విస్తరణ ప్రక్రియను ప్రభుత్వం ఆఘ మేఘాలపై పూర్తి చేసింది. మహానగర విస్తరణకు నవంబర్ 25న మంత్రివర్గం ఆమోదించింది. డిసెంబర్ 1న జీహెచ్ఎంసీ చట్టాన్ని రూపొందించగా గవర్నర్ వెంటనే ఆమోదముద్ర వేశారు. డిసెంబర్ 2న మెుత్తం 27 పట్టణ స్థానిక సంస్థలు జీహెచ్ఎంసీలో విలీనమైనట్లు ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శ నోటిఫికేషన్ విడుదల చేశారు. దీంతో గతంలో 150 కార్పొరేటర్ స్థానాల సంఖ్య 300కు పెంచుతూ ప్రభుత్వం డీలిమిటేషన్ ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేసింది.

The GHMC Act was framed on December 1 and the Governor immediately gave his assent. On December 2, the chief secretary of the government issued a notification that all 27 urban local bodies were merged into the GHMC. Due to this, the government has issued delimitation orders increasing the number of corporator posts from 150 to 300.
