Today, Amaravati: Government is making many changes in the Puramitra app which is meant to solve public problems. Steps are being taken to make the municipal commissioners actively respond in solving the problems in order to reach more to the people. If there are more than five issues on the same topic uploaded by people on the app, they will appear as orange hotspots in the commissioners' login. Commissioners should give first priority to these during field visits and take remedial measures. There is continuous monitoring of these at the state level. A system is also being set up to know whether the commissioners are going to the field level or not. The government has brought the Puramitra app so that people can upload problems in cities and towns including photos. In this, more than 13.87 lakh people have registered in five months. 69,315 of the 71,061 problems that have come up so far have been solved.
Furthermore like this..
- Commissioners of city, city governing bodies and city panchayats are being fully involved in this. These will be shown as hot spots in the app so that they know the severity of the problem. For example, if there are more than five complaints about mosquito infestation in Patamata area of Vijayawada, the problem will be marked as hot spot in orange color.
- Commissioners should identify the hot spots in their log in every morning while going to the field and go to those areas first. If it is a non-financial issue, it should be resolved immediately. Commissioners have to upload the photos in the app as they go to the field level. After solving the problem, the orange hot spot will turn green.
- Problems like street lights, sanitation, drinking water, dogs, mosquitoes should be solved at the level of commissioners. Engineers should make estimates for repairs to roads, canals and new constructions. The works should be done within the specified time as per the permission of the Council. Filling potholes on roads should be completed in a day or two. The government has made it clear that the problems coming from the people have to be solved by the officers of various departments under the direction of the commissioners within the specified time. It suggests that the Citizen Charter should be strictly followed. Action will be taken against those who behave negligently.
