Today, Hyderabad: within ten years of KCR rule. Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has expressed his anger that the state has been unfairly treated in terms of river water rights, water usage and construction of projects. He said that Rs 1.81 lakh crore was spent on projects and not a single acre was irrigated. He said that the people of the state and their children have been made hostage by borrowing Rs.88 thousand crores for the projects, and their government has to pay Rs.16 thousand crores in interest and installments every year for the debts they have incurred. Uttam responded to KCR's comments in the press conference. He spoke at a press conference held at the Secretariat in Hyderabad on Sunday. KCR should first apologize to the people for disrupting the irrigation sector. It has been revealed that the complete details of the irrigation sector will be released along with the evidence. What did he say..''KCR told raw lies about the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy upheaval. 27 thousand crores have been spent on this project. Not a single acre was given water. Our government has spent Rs.7 thousand crores in two years. We are going to complete it in next three months. The Congress government has given go-ahead for this project in the common state for 90 TMCs. On August 18, 2022, we wrote letters to the center based on the JVO issued by KCR. In the first phase, we have sought permission for 45 TMC under saving in minor irrigation and another 45 TMC under diversion of Godavari water. It is a lie to say that we are the reason for sending back the DPR. DPR was sent back on April 12, 2023 when KCR was in power.
Kaleshwaram that the commission will come
KCR said that he has love for common Rangareddy district. KCR said that if the Congress takes up the Pranahita-Chevella project to bring water to this district at a cost of Rs.38 thousand crores in the joint AP, KCR canceled the project which had already spent Rs.10 thousand crores. Kaleswaram was taken up by the project itself. Its expenditure for commissions has now reached Rs.1.20 lakh crore and three barrages have shrunk. We are insisting on 500 TMC for Telangana in Krishna waters. We blocked Polavaram-Banakacharla and filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against Nallamalasagar. It is untrue that you fought with the BJP government over crop procurement. Uttam asked, ``Are you colluding with the BJP in the presidential and vice-presidential elections and blaming us?
