Buchchayypet: The reins of district Tedepa again went to Battula's grandfather Babu. On Sunday, the board announced his name as the district TDP president for the second time. Although the names of Battula Tathaiya Babu and Kotni Balaji were considered as district party presidents, Tathaiya Babu's name was finally finalized. Tatayya Babu, who hails from Butchayyapet mandal Vaddadi, worked as the TDP in-charge of Chodavaram Constituency before the elections. Although he was hoping for an MLA ticket in the election, he did not get a chance. In recognition of his services for the party during the difficult period, he was appointed as the district party president. After the government came to power, Chief Minister Chandrababu gave him the crucial post of Chairman of the Housing Corporation. There is some doubt about the continuation of Tathaya Babu as the district president for the second time. The name of DCMS Chairman Kotni Balaji from Anakapalli came to the fore.
