Nagarkurnool, December 20 (Andhra Jyoti) :Collector Badawat Santosh has directed the Food Standards Inspection Officers to take action against the owners of hotels, restaurants and shops that do not comply with food safety standards. On Saturday, the Collector held a meeting of the District Level Advisory Committee on Food Safety and Healthy Foods in the video conference hall of the Collectorate. The Collector ordered the food inspector to carry out extensive quality control in private and government welfare hostels and other food preparation centers in the district. They also want to examine the quality of the food items being supplied to government hostels and anga nwadi centers under the auspices of various departments and the goods used for cooking. Additional Collector P. Amarender, Joint District Food Inspection Officer Anand Rao, DEO Ramesh Kumar, DMHO Dr. Ravikumar, DTW Firangi, Food Inspectors Srilata, Neelima participated in this meeting. :On the occasion of National Road Safety Month, Collector Badawat Santhosh said that students, employees and various organizations should be made aware to participate in road safety month in the district to prevent road accidents. On National Road Safety Month-2026, State Government Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Transport, R&B Department Special CS Vikas Raj, Law and Order ADG Mahender, M. Bhagwat, along with the officials of National Highways, RTC, Police and Health Department, along with all the District Collectors, Transport, BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar held a video conference from Hyderabad, while from Nagarkurnool District Integrated Office Complex, SP Sangram Singh G Patil, Additional Collector P. Amarender, RTA no. Gopal Reddy, Deputy CEO Gopal Naik and District Collector Badawat Santhosh along with other officials participated.
