Bhopal: Five feet long gourd.. one and half kg. A lemon.. An inch-sized orange.. All this sounds strange..! These are the typical fruits and vegetables seen in the exhibition of forest products organized in Bhopal under the auspices of the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department. Many Ayurvedic medicines, herbs, forest products and products made by the tribals were displayed in the 350 stalls set up here. The concerned farmer revealed that it is not a hybrid, but a domestic sorghum. It will grow up to about seven and a half feet. Similarly, the weight of the white gourd is seven kilos. A kilo and a half lemon brought by a farmer was also a special attraction. It is noteworthy that some think it is papaya. A farmer revealed that the lemon is of the Bijora variety. The farmers stated that many kinds of plants, fruits, many kinds of snacks along with their seeds were kept in this exhibition. Organizers have revealed that this show is being organized to highlight the biodiversity of the region.
