Srikakulam: Central Govt. Providing compensation under the scheme. Rs.2 lakhs are being paid to the family of the deceased and Rs.50 thousand to the injured. Many people don't know about this. If an application is made, the concerned authorities will examine it and give compensation in terms of government.

Apply to collector to get benefit of this scheme. Personal details, nature of accident, area, time, severity of injuries, FIR document, Aadhaar card, bank account xerox should be attached in Form-1. 

If the victim dies, the bank account of the wife or family members, death certificate and postmortem report should be reported to the police and revenue authorities. 

Injured persons should register through Form-4. Bills for medical treatment should be attached. 

If there is no possibility of identifying the vehicle that caused the accident, the police should file a report. Along with the FIR, complete details should be provided in the form of a police report. 

The RDO will be handed over to the collector after examination. 

Police will issue final orders within 15 days after receiving the report. Once this process is completed, the compensation will be credited to the concerned bank accounts. 

The central government provides compensation in case of death or injury in hit and run cases. Sarubuzzili SI S.Chiranjeevi said that if an application is made for this, the report will be submitted to the RDO.
