Hyderabad:Special Principal Secretary of Transport, Roads-Building Department Vikasraj has issued clear instructions to the officials to tighten the supervision of the works of the new High Court complex under construction in Rajendranagar on time.
Expressing his displeasure over the delays in the project. He said that from now on every Saturday from 9 am to 11 am, weekend reviews should be conducted at the site itself. Construction and MEP subconsultants must attend these meetings along with the consultant. The CE (Buildings) was directed to look into the issue of appointing an independent engineering firm and taking technical advice. Explained that there will be. He warned that if there is a delay in the issuance of the drawings, the engineering department will have the authority to appoint an alternative consultant without disrupting the progress of the project. He asked all the three to work in coordination. It was clarified that the architectural design, MEP shafts etc. should be reviewed by the civil and electrical engineers and the final drawings should be verified as per National Building Code (NBC) standards.
