Jagityala, December 23 (Andhra Jyoti): Officials have decided to release water from the Sri Ramsagar project on a weekly basis for the Yasangi season. This year's rainy season, North Telangana district received heavy rains. With this the Sriramsagar project is completely filled. Kakatiya Canal will release 3,500 cusecs of water to Zone-1 for seven days and 5,500 cusecs to Zone-2 for eight days. Allocation of water was also done for Lakshmi canal, Saraswati canal, Gutpa and Allisagar lift schemes. Officials have allocated 57.68 TMCs to provide water for cultivation in Yasangi. The authorities will start the release of ESSRSP water from 24th of this month.
No Dhoka for Fayasangi cultivation..
There is no Dhoka for Yasangi cultivation in the district. The water level in the Sri Ramsagar project is at the expected level, which fills the farmers with joy. Sriramsagar still looks like Nindukunda, though the monsoon crops are now available. With this, the farmers are expressing happiness as water will be abundantly available for the Yasangi season. About four and a half lakh acres of water has been provided in the district during the rainy season. In the current Yasangi season too, more than three and a half lakh acres will receive irrigation water. There are possibilities of cultivation of various crops in Yasangi in the district.
Proposal to the government in the high level meeting..
Essarsp water release will be done in Varabandi (on and off) method. The authorities have decided to release the water on for eight days and off for 7 days. Water will be released from the project through canals in eight taps. Through the Kakatiya canal, 3,500 cusecs of water will be released for seven days from D-5 to D-53 and eight days from D-53 to D94. 500 cusecs of water has been allotted every day to provide water to the farmers who have installed pump sets based on the Kakatiya Canal. There is a continuous discharge of water through the rest of the canals. Water will be released from 24th December to 8th April 2026. Officials have allocated 57.68 TMCs to provide water for cultivation in Yasangi. Water will be released for a total of 105 days. This includes 41.43 TMCs for Kakatiya Canal, 3.39 TMCs for Saraswati Canal, 1.48 TMCs for Lakshmi Canal, 2.29 TMCs for Allisagar, 1.14 TMCs for Gutpa Lifts Scheme, 1.32 TMCs for Nizamabad, Nirmal TSIDC Scheme, Mission Officials have decided that 2.10 TMCs will be spent on Bhagiratha and 4.54 TMCs through evaporation. Due to heavy rains in the upper region as well, heavy flood water entered the Sriramsagar project. Some areas in Nizamabad, Jagityala, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts are being irrigated through SSRSP Kakatiya Canal. Water will be released from December during Yasangi season. As the water level in Sriramsagar was at the expected level, the water from the upper region was released into the Godavari as soon as it arrived. ESSRSP released record water into Godavari. As a result, irrigation water is available in the catchment areas of Godavari in Jagityala district. Many villages in Ibrahimpatnam, Mallapur, Raikal, Dharmapuri, Velgatur and other mandals of the district will get Godavari water. As SSRSP is also releasing water to the flood canal, there are opportunities to get water to the farmers of the villages in the catchment areas of the canal.
949.813 TMCs of water into Fashri Ramsagar..
During the current monsoon season, heavy flood water has entered the Sri Ramsagar project from the upper region. In the current season, 949.813 TMC of water has been received since June 1. From there, 882.100 TMCs of water was released into Godavari by lifting flood gates, Kakatiya Canal, Lakshmi Canal, Varada Canal, Allisagar Lifts, Gutpa Lifts, Mission Bhagiratha, Escape. At present there is 80.053 TMC of water in the dam. Sriramsagar project officials are preparing to provide irrigation water to Yasangi as per the proposals made in the meeting of the high-level authority group and the decision of the government.
3.10 lakh acres of paddy cultivation is estimated in Fazilla.
It is estimated that about 3.50 lakh acres of various crops will be cultivated in Yasangi season in the district. Mainly rice crop will be cultivated in this. In the district, paddy crop is 3.10 acres, maize 55 thousand acres, sesame 23 thousand acres, palli 300 acres, pesara 500 acres, minumu 500 acres, alasanda 500 acres, mustard 3,000 acres, sugarcane 900 acres, oil farm 9,000 The agriculture officials have finalized the plan to cultivate in acres. Farmers are expressing happiness as there is plenty of water in ponds, ponds, Godavari river and projects along with SSRSP. Officials estimate that more than 40 thousand acres of Yasangi cultivation has started in different parts of the district. It seems that mainly 30 thousand acres of maize, 355 acres of sorghum, 527 acres of pulses, 42 acres of pesara, 29 acres of millet, 120 acres of gram and 85 acres of mustard are cultivated. It is estimated that rice will be cultivated in about 3.50 lakh acres in Yasangi in the district. So far, the officials say that about a thousand acres of rice paddy has been completed in the district. Kakatiya canal is flowing for about 91 km from Ibrahimpatnam mandal to Pegadapalli mandal. The water being released from SSARESP to Kakatiya canal is flowing in Jagityala district at the 25th kilometer. Ending at 116th km. Sub-canals are being constructed in connection with the Kakatiya canal to supply water to various villages in the district. There are about 62 distributor canals in the district from D-21 sub canal to D 83A. Each distributary has up to 50 more canals on the left and right sides depending on the diameter. Irrigation water should be provided to the crop fields through related minor canals. In the district, about 1.70 lakh acres of irrigation water is being supplied by SSARSP. Due to the installation of cisterns to fill the ponds and ponds near the distributaries, another lakh acres of SSRSP is receiving irrigation water. Silt and plants have accumulated in the canals. The main Kakatiya canal has also become dangerous in many places. The canal dams collapsed. Before the start of the season, the authorities did not undertake any measures like removing silt and minor repairs of the canals. There seems to be a problem in the supply of water till the last Ayakattu.
