Karimnagar Crime, December 22 (Andhra Jyoti): District Chief Justice S Shivakumar said that the services provided by Bharosa Center in the district are commendable. The first anniversary of Bharosa Kendra, which is being run on Raykurthi-Kothapally road under the auspices of the Women's Security Department of the Police Department, was celebrated on Monday. District Chief Justice Sivakumar, who attended the program as the chief guest, said that cases of cybercrime, narcotics, abuse of children and women are increasing. He said that since the services like medicine, justice and counseling are available in Bharosa centers, they will give courage to the victims. It is a good thing that the number of cases registered in Karimnagar Bharosa Kendra is good. He said that Bharosa Center has stood by the women and children in many cases and has given courage to the victims.
Fa Police Commissioner Gaus Alam said that Bharosa Center has been started to provide various services like medicine, justice and counseling to the victims in case of sexual harassment and violence of women and children. He said that since the opening of this center, 47 POCSO and 13 rape cases have been registered. Financial assistance of five lakh rupees has been provided to the victims, he said. Counseling was conducted to fill them with morale and they were given training to provide employment in various fields. He said that women and children under 18 years of age can avail the services of Bharosa Kendra directly through the police station. CWC Chairperson Dhanalakshmi, District Welfare Officer Saraswathi, District Medical Officer Venkataramana, Police officers, Bhavita Center officials and staff participated in the program.
