UAE Airport Expansion by 2026

Abu Dhabi: The aviation sector in the UAE will break new ground. New terminals will be available at Dubai International Airport by next year. The government estimates that it will attract investments of 1.28 lakh crore dirhams. From Dubai World Central to Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, more runways, terminals and smart infrastructure are coming soon.

Sharjah:
Expansion of Sharjah Airport to be completed by 2028. Officials expect that the number of international passengers will increase significantly through this project.



Ras Al Khaimah:
The new terminal will open by 2031. With a capacity of 11 crore passengers, it will become a key hub in the Middle East.

The main objective is to achieve the UAE's capacity to host a total of 53 million travelers by 2043. These expansion projects are expected to position the Gulf region at the top of the global aviation sector.

With the expansion of airports, the tourism sector, trade and job opportunities will increase widely. AI based systems, sustainable energy usage are the specialty of these projects. UAE will compete with countries like Doha, Oman and Bahrain. Thus, the UAE airport expansion projects not only facilitate air travel, but also take steps towards establishing the Middle East as a key hub in the global aviation sector.
