Sakshi, Hyderabad: The High Court dismissed the petitions filed against the delimitation of GHMC. The High Court made it clear to intervene in the division of GHMC wards. More than 80 petitions have been filed in the High Court on objections to division of wards. The High Court closed the hearing of the petitions as the deadline for objections expired.

So, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which has grown to about 2 thousand square kilometers with the merger of 20 municipalities and 7 corporations in the suburbs, has been divided into 300 wards for the convenience of administration. Before merger there were 150 wards in an area of ​​750 square kilometers, some wards were more populated and some less populated. A ward was covered by two constituencies. GHMC says that it has divided into 300 wards after taking into consideration all factors without exception.
