Internet Desk: Australia triumphed in the five-Test Ashes series against England. After winning the first two matches, the Kangaroos won the third Test in Adelaide. They beat England by 82 runs and took the series 3-0 with two matches to spare. Chasing a target of 435 runs, England, who started the fifth day with 207/6, were bowled out for 352 runs. England captain Ben Stokes spoke after the match about the team's defeat.

'We entered Adelaide with the aim of saving the series. But our dream was shattered. This defeat is causing great pain to everyone in the team. Everyone was very emotional. Credit must be given to Australia. Winning depends on excelling in three categories. Aussies did better than us in this match. They got the better of us in batting, bowling and fielding.

In the fourth innings despite a huge target in front of us, we fought till the end. Will Jacks and Jamie Smith are excellent. A good partnership has been established. Despite losing the toss, we managed to restrict the Aussies to a modest score in the first innings. But after that we failed to score big. In the second innings too, we lost 6 wickets in just 60 runs. We have a lot of positives.

The fightback shown by our lower order batsmen in particular has been really impressive. They showed the tenacity I expected. Despite losing the series, we will try to win the remaining two Tests," said Stokes.
