- 'Biomimicry' Buildings

Water Cube..

It is common to construct new buildings for sports competitions in cities where Olympics are held. A building built during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, the capital of China, is still in the news today because of its architectural symmetry. That is the 'National Aquatic Centre'. Engineers have designed this building inspired by the cells in the human body and the bubbles that form in soapy water. For this, instead of regular concrete, a material prepared with Ethyl Tetraflo was used. Its weight is less. Lets more light in than glass. Moreover, up to 20 percent of the solar energy is generated and used in swimming pools. rounded">

Any building is upright or horizontal. But have you seen a building hanging 90 degrees in the air? That is 'Tao Zhu Yin Yan'. It is known as a prominent structure in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. The building is named after the ancient philosopher Tao. It is actually a residential complex. It is remarkable that this building was constructed in the 'DNA' model. In this 21-storey building, every floor twists and turns...all the balconies seem to be floating in the air. More than 20,000 plants are growing like a vertical forest throughout the building. That is why it is also called as 'Agora Garden'. These plants absorb about 130 tons of carbon dioxide per year. There is also a rain water harvesting center here. They are reducing carbon emissions by generating electricity with sunlight and wind energy. This building is a study book regarding the field of future architecture.

In the form of sea flowers...

The Pacific Ocean is the deepest of all seas. A 40-storey building was built in London with the inspiration of 'Venus Flower Basket' which is formed in this sea at a depth of 500 meters. That is 'Gherkin'. It holds many records as the first eco-friendly high-rise building in London. 'Gherkin' is a dosa related vegetable. With its inspiration, a beautiful business complex building was built. But to enter this building one has to get permission first. It is constructed mostly of steel.

Currently eco-tourism has increased. All the tourists going to England are queuing up for the 'Eden Project'. No matter how long he stays there, he will not stop. Because the largest greenhouse in the world is the Eden Project. Here you get a great opportunity to see thousands of green plants at once. The inspiration for this building complex in Cornwall is surprisingly soap bubbles. The Eden Project has been divided into two sections: Mediterranean and Rainforest biomes. As the name suggests, both have different climates. Also, plastic and steel frames in hexagonal and pentagonal shapes are the main attraction of these biomes. That's why all those who saw 'the earth is wonderful...Eden' appreciate it. The number of people who not only hold meetings and conferences but also get married in this green surroundings is increasing day by day. alt="book3.3.jpg" class="img-fluid rounded">

The building that is famous all over the world is the 'Arab World Institute' in Paris. It is remarkable that nineteen Arab countries built this building with the spirit of Kantipapa. This building can be described as North and South faces. They are made of glass and aluminum. The north face faces the river Seine. 240 photo sensitive diaphragms are installed all over the south facade. All these together work like the pupil...in other words, like the lens of a camera. Opens and closes based on sunlight. Hence a wonderful scene unfolds both inside and outside. Tourists go there to see this magic.

Esplanade Theater is a particularly impressive structure in Singapore Bay. At first glance it seems very strange. Isn't it a theatre... There are plays and festivals going on throughout the year. If you go inside the building, you will be surprised... Galley and light are radiating abundantly. But the sun does not shine directly. Because this building is unique. This building was built on the inspiration of 'Raja Panasa' fruit. The outer skin of this fruit is thick with thorns and protects the seeds inside. And so is this building. It is surrounded by triangular windows with curved frames that respond appropriately to sunlight. That is why there is light. But the sun does not shine. Hats off to that strange design.
