You can know exactly which emission standards it follows through your vehicle registration certificate (RC). In the column titled Emission Norms / BS Norms there is BS-IV or BS-4 vehicle. Based on this you can find out which category your vehicle belongs to. Apart from that some companies mention BS6 or BS4 on the vehicle itself.
