Current difficulties for farmers

Electricity still not restored in flood areas

Works not progressed even if funds were sanctioned

Donors in worry

Medakzone:The condition of the donators has turned into a situation where the priest does not have mercy even if God blesses him. Thousands of acres of crops were lost due to heavy rains in the last week of August. Electricity poles, hundreds of transformers and bore wells were destroyed. CM Revanth Reddy, who inspected himself, released funds to support the victims immediately. But the officials are acting negligently at the field level. As a result, electricity has not been restored to the bore wells even today. The bread givers are worried that the holy period of pouring Yasangi Narumallu will pass.

Rs. 6.5 Crore sanction

The district experienced large-scale floods in August this year. Most of the mandals of Havelighanapur, Papannapet, Chinnashankarpet, Ramayampet, Nizampet, Medak and other mandals were severely damaged. According to official figures, crops were destroyed in 10,671 acres, 1,344 electricity poles, 460 transformers and a substation in Medak town were submerged. Kilometers of wires were washed away. Hundreds of bore wells were destroyed due to the flood below the Po Charam project on the outskirts of Pochamaral village. Bore pipes are broken. The poles were washed away. To compensate the loss caused to the electricity department due to floods, the government has given the department Rs. 6.5 crore has been sanctioned. With these, it has been decided to construct new poles, transformers, new wires and build a submerged substation elsewhere. Meanwhile, the officials got their hands dirty by handing over the works to several contractors. The contractors who got the works have left some electricity poles here and there. Three months have passed since the damage, but the works have not been completed. As a result, the boreholes are cornered. Farmers are worried about how to dispose of Yasangi fiber. They are begging my officials to respond and restore electricity soon.

Don't care

We lost everything with the floods. Compensation for the lost crops has not yet been received. At least if the broken pillars are replaced by new ones, we will fill the bottom of the borewells. No matter how many times I go around the authorities, they do not show mercy.
